It's Official: soccer season stinks!

We have 4 games a week...never at the same field. My DH is coaching both teams and some games are back to back, at different fields. Then they throw in 5:15 games (never mind I work to 5:30) and the kids get off the bus at 4:45! Not to mention the homework that needs to some how get done! But my biggest gripe of all...how boring can soccer be?!

Flame me if you want but I still think it stinks! Well, at least the kids enjoy it!

sounds like our house but add in 2 football games and volleyball to that. I don't get help from DH because he coaches football and never gets home until 7.

My hubby and I share coaching our kids. I help with DD's team and hubby helps with DS's team. This way, if the fields are different, it is easy to accomodate the kids. It also helps that hubby is a big soccer fan...otherwise he wouldn't be so happy about helping. Our games do not start until 6:00 so that gives us time for homework and a small meal before.

I totally understand the position you are in. Could your hubby find an assistant coach on each team (that would allow him to take it a little easier)

How old are your kids? I totally agree that it's boring until about 3rd grade and then it's awesome. My DH coaches, I manage, both girls play, we have 4 nights of practice a week (2 each) and at least 2 games each weekend....6 this weekend because they're both doing a tourney. We love it! But it is definately a LOT of work! (and this is in addition to competitive dance, basketball, softball, girl scouts & drum lessons!) Hang in there!

I am another soccer loving mom. DD plays soccer year round. In the fall practice is 2 nights a week. Games are on the weekends. She is on a traveling team so we are forever on the road on the weekends going to games and tournaments. She plays volleyball in the fall for school -- 5 days a week practices and/or games w/ occasional weekend tournaments. In the winter, she plays indoor soccer 1 - 2 times a week and plays basketball for school 5 days a week. In the spring she has school soccer practice / games 5 days a week, travel soccer practice 2 nights a week and games every weekend. In the summer she has beach soccer. She also has swim team practice 5 days a week with 1 - 2 meets a week in the evenings.

DS plays fall soccer 2 nights a week practice, games on weekends. He takes the winter off and plays spring soccer - practice 2 nights a week, games on weekends.

It takes a lot of juggling but the kids, my husband and I love it.

I used to love when my son played soccer, now he referees. He's also on the varsity wrestling team. If you want boring try sitting through a wrestling tournament, lol 12-15 schools, 15-25 kids per team, 9 different weight classes, they start at 8 am and finish between 8-9 at night. After sitting through one I just told my son i'd drop in and if he was up soon i'd stay if not he could call me with his results.
