How much coffee do you drink in a day?

My family thinks I drink way too much coffee so I was wondering just how much coffee everyone else drinks and how you drink it.....

I make a pot of coffee in the morning (12 cup pot) and I usually drink the whole thing before I get the kids off to school (about a 2 hour period) My first cup or 2 are completely black....let's just say I don't sleep much, so morning doesn't come easy for me, after the first couple I usually add some creamer, or some splenda and skim milk. Once I get home from running the kids to their schools, then I put on the kettle and make a single cup of coffee to enoy while I'm on the computer (usually one of the international foods coffees, but always decaf, sugar free waiting for senseo to show up) Then around lunch I make a second pot of coffee ( usually only 6-8 cop pot)..........I also go through about 4/5 bottles of water a day along with a diet soda or two......

How much coffee do you drink?

I drink 1 cup instant coffee with some flavored Coffee Mate powder in it every morning. If I drank more than 1 cup it would give me a headache.Although I can go right back to sleep just after drinking a cup.

If someone has to tell you your doing too much of one thing.. no matter how much you want to deny it, its probably true. LOL
Can we say McCoffeeCouponAddict?
I love the smell of fresh coffee too-

I drink maybe two cups a week- I drink more tea than coffee

It has to have a liquid flavored creamer in it for me to enjoy it.. (coffee)

If it is not bothering you, hurting your health or financially draining your household then they can go blow! It's not really there business.

I drink one cup of instant a day (with milk and sugar). Once a week it's Starbucks size depends on my stress level. Low stress= tall, high stress=grande).

I usually drink one or two cups a day -- black. Once in a while I'll have a flavored creamer with it just for a different taste.

If I have soda, I usually drink noncaffeinated. I don't always sleep well at night, and I know how much caffeine I had during the day, DOES determine how well I sleep.

My tummy feels better when I hold down the amount of coffee and carbonated drinks that I have too.

2 cups in the morning (I fill the coffee maker basket with one scoop - 1/8 cup - of coffee and then fill to the "4" line with water. DH drinks the same amount in the morning. It equals out to about 2 regular size coffee cups.

And when DH gets home from work, usually around 1pm, I make a pot of coffee the same way as the above, but we each get 1 cup of coffee.

He takes flavored creamer and splenda, I take mine black.

I sell coffee LOL so I dirnk lots! At least 1 pot a day in the morning and then a cup here and there if it's made elsewhere. I drink more in the winter when it's cold. In the summer, I make the frappes at home and love those too

During the summer I drink 1 or 2 cups when I'm at work. Which is 4 days out of the week. During the winter, those cups go up to 2 a day if not 3 every day of the week. At night I get my chocolate fix with my Hot Chocolate but only in the winter, never the summer....too hot

Two-three cups a morning. I have one of those small 4 cup coffee makers and I usually fill the water to the top (4cups) but I only get two cups from it. I guess my cups are bigger than most!

Too cute!!
I used to be that way too but time and age have taken their toll and my new mantra is "Everything in moderation". I am now trying to go with quality over quantity.
I have a 16oz cup in the morning to get going and an 8 oz cup after lunch, which because of my work schedule, is about 7pm.
The morning cup has coffeemate and splenda and the evening cup has flavored creamer.

We all have our vises, I think people who drink a lot of coffee tend to be more slender ( as long as they aren't drink 1000 calorie cups....ie starbucks), since caffeine is a natural appetite suppressant. Hmmmmm, maybe I should drink more coffee!

DH quit smoking about 5 years ago, and now goes thru about 2 to 3 bags of dum dum lollipops a week. If its not one thing its another.

I don't drink coffee either.

About once a month or so I will have an iced coffee- DHs leftover pot in a tall glass with about 1/2 skim milk and a shot of sugar free vanilla syrup.

During the winter I drink hot tea - usually 1 in the morning & 1 in the evening. Sometimes I'll have a General Foods sugar free French Vanilla Cafe in the morning.

However, I drink several diet cokes per day.

Back in my college days, I drank about 2 pots in the morning and switched to coke in the afternoons (at least a 2 lt bottle a day). Can you say caffeine addiction? Now i try to drink 1 cup in the morning, 1 in the afternoon and 1 at night. If I'm not careful I can get back to that again, but end up with terrible heartburn at bed time.

I don't drink coffee, but I do drink tea. I probably drink about 6 cups a day. I often have fresh brewed tea, but if I am in a hurry I just use a tea bag. Lipton Blackberry is wonderful.

I don't drink any coffee, never did. One reason that you may not sleep well is the amount of caffine that you take in. You should talk to your doctor about how to cut back.

I drink 1 to 2 cups a day. Sometimes I will have another one in the evening maybe even a frappaccino (sp?) but if I drink too much my tummy doesnt agree with me. I think I would be worried about caffeine intake. Maybe do decaf later on if you enjoy coffee taste. This is what I will do sometimes.

I guess it would be like if you drank coke all day long. Not good for ya either.

I'll have to try that - the Lipton French Vanilla is awesome, too!

Just to clarify my not sleeping has nothing to do with my coffee consumption, I have a 11 year old autistic son, who does not sleep through the night and when he wakes up he feels the need to wake me up, and my 9 year old son is often up right now with nightmares of something happening to Dh (he is getting ready to head back to Iraq and was severely injured last time he was there) many times I drink decaf too, and my soda is caffeine free also.......

I drink one huge mug (probably 12 ounces?) in the morning and that's it for the day. I'll drink other caffeinated beverages throughout the day but try not to drink caffeine after 1:00 in the afternoon or I feel that it effects my nighttime sleep.

None for me. Don't even like the smell. I drink OJ, sometimes skim milk, water and unsweetened tea. Very rarely a diet soda.

Good grief!! Drinking all that in one day, I don't see how you get anything else done for running to the bathroom.

Three pots a day. Seriously.

However, only the first one is caffeinated, and I have a bad habit of leaving half-drunk cups around and then pouring it out because it got cold, so I don't really consume all of it.

I make a caffeinated pot at about 6:30, and nurse it through the morning. After lunch I make a pot of decaf that I nurse all afternoon, and if it's gone by evening, I'm apt to make another pot of decaf. If it gets to where it tastes yucky before I've finished a pot, I just dump it and make fresh.

I need to stay awake..never drunk coffee until 2002....when my 3rd and last child was born....she never sleeps.last night she was up until 2am....and dh works evening shift,so whenever he gets home(last night was at 4am),,I just know.../i swear this guy doesn't know how to open a door...i should write a memo: turn the handle and push the door...and not push the door then turn the knob....
and the phone rang at 6am.....
so I need my coffee to stay awake....

Usually 1 in the morning, 1 in the afternoon and sometimes one after dinner.... Don't know about anyone else but coffee seems to go hand in hand with reading for me....coffee with the paper, coffee while online, coffee while reading my book....Nothing like curling up with a cup of coffee and a good book... okay, we all have our quirks.. LOL Cookie

Now I drink 3-4 cups a day...... In the morning mostly when I get up...But, I have to have french vanilla creamer...... Don't ask me why, I just do......

During the summer time I have 2-3 cups in the morning. I sometimes make a frapp at home and in that case, I will have 2-3 in the afternoon. Too hot for me in the summer to have hot coffee

During the winter time I have 3-4 cups in the morning and 2-3 in the afternoon
