We are remodeling our kitchen , I need to order appliances.
I would like to go stainless steel but with alot of small children I am not sure about finger prints etc....the kind that does not show finger prints is suppose to scratch really easy.....I don't know what to order.
Anyone who has stainless steel and children could you tell me how it cleans and if it is worth the cost or if you have the fingeprint proof ones comment about them..............I didnt think it would be this hard to pick out a fridge, oven and microwave !!!!

We just got stainless steel in June and we have kids. I does get a lot of fingerprints, but I just bought a stainless steel cleaning spray from WalMart and it works great. Spray it on, wipe it off - beautiful!

we got the whirlpool fast fill and it's titanium (sp?) so it looks like stainless but NO fingerprints I LOVE It...couldn't recommend it more. We have a Bosch Stainless Steel dishwasher and it does get fingerprints. I clean it with Method Stainless Steel cleaner (Target has it) and it's great. We have black double ovens but since most stainless have black on it too...it works. With all the grease, etc that can be on the oven and drip down (don't know why but it does), black is better for us and it cleans easier. I have a stainless coooktop and my only complaint is that is scratches really easily, even using stainless cleaner.

We have all stainless and I would rather have fingerprints than scratches, so I might not get the fingerprintless again. No one else sees the scratches, but I do and I didn't know that before I bought it. Our stove has a flat top and stainless on the front and I really love that! It was my first flat top and I wasn't sure about it, but it's easier to clean and looks as good as the day we brought it home.

I have SS Bosch Dishwasher too and love it. I also have the GE Profile gas stove and the top is black and the front is SS. The blak is much,much harder to keep fingerprints at bay compared to the SS on the front. I love the SS and wouldn't trade them.

Plain old rubbing alcohol cleans and shines stainless beautifully.
