We have a 2003 Tahoe Z71 and I don't know what the gas mileage is because I never figure it, but it's probably similar to breggaes. $75 a crack at the pump stinks. The truck itself is very comfortable and roomy to travel in, though. We drove 3000 miles 2 years ago up to South Dakota and into Wyoming and back. We want to go the the Grand Canyon in it before we get rid of it. It's also very handy to keep the girls soccer and softball equipment in and hauling kids & friends around! We have to keep it for now, though, because we have a travel trailer that we pull with it. We've been talking a lot about getting rid of them both and getting a smaller SUV (I don't think we could live without an SUV), but enjoy the trailer too much when we do get to take it out. Lisa

The Yukon, Expedition, & Tahoe all get about the same mileage, and it is roughly $75-$85 BIG ONES to fill up. Personally, I prefer the Expedition because it is a little roomier. We Test Drove all 3, and my kids seemed super squished in both the Tahoe, and the Yukon. That's just my opinion tho. Good-Luck with your decision!!

After having 4 different Expeditions since 1997 we fell in love with the new 2007 GMC Yukon XL. We absolutely love it and the gas mileage is way better since these new models have a feature to shut down to 4 cylindars when 8 is not needed. We get 14 around town and 21 on the highway and keep in mind this is the long Yukon, the shorty will get a little better. Our Expedition got 12 around town and 15-16 out on the highway. We also have received numerous compliments on our Yukon, it is truly a beautiful SUV and so much more comfortable than our old Expedition. We have 4 kids and they all fit comfortably as well. Take the time and test drive all of them and research like you are doing here, it is a big decision. HTH!

I don't have one of these, we looked at them, and we ended up going with a Nissan Amrada, which costs us about 45 dollars to fill up, and gets just about 5 miles per gallon less then our old Grand Voyager......There are 8 of us, and we all fit comfortably.but if my little ones were older then backseat wouldn't be very comfortable for older ones.

| Love My Armada
I used to have an Expedition. We bought an Armada in 2005, and we just love it. The gas mileage is no worse than the exped, the room is great, and we drove it to the Grand Canyon in July. It was great for the trip. We have 3 kids-9,7,4. We used the console btwn the middle seats and used it as a cooler. We filled it up with drinks and ice, and it was watertight. That was neat, to me, anyway! The thing I love most about the Armada, compared to the Expedition, is that it sits so heavy to the road. KWIM? When I drove my exped in the rain, I felt like I didn't really have control and just didn't like driving in the rain. The Armada feels like a tank compared to my old exped. Anyway, not a Tahoe, but a vote for an Armada on my end!
