Are there any BIG TIME football fans here?

I was just wondering how many of you just love the game of football......do you like college? Pro? or both?
What are your favorite teams?

We are Ohio State Buckeye Fans here.......Saturdays in our a house are a special day, and the kids know if they aren't watching the game with us, they better stay out of the way. We love our Buckeyes so much one of our children is named Scarlett-Ann Greye (OSU school colors are scarlet and grey) I just love the game of football in general, I can watch pretty much any college or pro football game and totally enjoy, DH only watches OSU.....(still have a soft spot for my Brownies, but root all teams that have ex-buckeyes on them in pros)

I was raised on football, we watched it, my Dad was the head football coach.....

so what about ya'll......like it or leave it?

As it so happens I'm a HUGE, HUGE, HUGE fan of the Arkansas Razorbacks. While I didn't name either of my children after them--I do have a tattoo of the "running Razorback" on my leg.

The kids know that during a Razorback game they should only interrupt if it's a life or death emergency, or during a time-out or half time! The 7 y/o watches, the 9 y/o will watch, but he'd much rather play on the computer.

LOL...I don't know if Fan really truely describes me unless obsessed is in front of it.

I grew up in Chicago Land area during the 80's when the Bears were HUGE! became addicted then to the Bears. Then got married to DH who is a huge Steelers fan, and my addiction has grown. Doesn't help he feeds my addiction, he says if he doesn't know what to get me he can get me something with the Bears on it and know he will make me happy. I just got vanity licenses plate that say DABEARS!

I wish I could say my addiction stops at the Bears, but it doesn't I have 4 teams that I follow religiously ( Bears, Steelers, Eagles, and Redskins) not including my fantasy football league. Plus if there is a PRO football game on and my teams aren't playing, I will sit there and watch the whole thing., and not because I'm to lazy to turn the channel, but because I honestly enjoy it, plus it helps with my picks on fantasy football. Thank goodness football is only about 5 months long, so I have time for other things.

My DS (age 6) is finally getting interested in football so its a family affair. After church we rush home, throw on our favorite football apparel as we start cooking "Football Food" then veg out for the rest of the day watching football. We do go outside, but thats just to change the football player pillows in the noose to the team we are watching and want to lose. Before we moved a lot of our friends would come over and watch the games with us, hopefully we will make some football friends in Delaware, since I miss it!

Baseball is big in our family but football is a close second. We have many interesting get togethers-
I'm a Steelers fan, hubby-the Giants, My Sister-Patriots, BIL-Cowboys, my son-thinks we're nuts. Gotta love family football..

I'm a baseball girl (go Cubbies)....

But, when it comes to football....my soon to be husband was a Gator and a Longhorn...so, I cheer along with him. My college team doesn't really make it to TV often.

In the NFL...he also is a Steelers fan. I grew up in Chicago, but in a Packers household....so, you can imagine he struggle!

We LOVE football around here too. We count down through the year for the fall football start up. I personally prefer college ball and Notre Dame is my fav. We are Indianapolis Colts fans as well, but we watch any football anytime.

I am a HUGE fan of the Colts. This past summer I met Jeff Saturday, Adam Vinatieri, Josh Betts (no longer with the colts), Lilja, and one other. I got all autographs, pics and hung out for a while. It was awesome. This was for a fund raiser for our local Riley Childrens Hospital. We raised over 2 million for the event and I was so proud that they all came to support that. Really shows the class of some of them. GO COLTS!!! They will always be my team.

We are a house full of Eagles fans, though it's usually painful! We have two seats for our home games, so the boys take turns going with d/h, and I'll go on occasion. My d/d (9) is a fan, but we both find it is just too LOUD to watch with the guys, so we usually watch in another room.

I have loved football since I was a teen, long before I met my husband! It's fast and full of excitement. My d/h also loves golf, but knows it puts me to sleep.

Why would you think women could only like sports to impress some guy???

Not all sports. I can appreciate baseball since I play softball. I just don't understand loving a macho male sport that does not allow women. (I know there has been an occasional female allowed to play.) I have tried to sit through it to "bond" with my husband, but don't enjoy the game.

I LOVE RAZORBACK FOOTBALL---I would love it regardless of what DH liked or not!
DH likes to watch Pro Football, and I will sit and watch--but I have no particular favorite teams (although I do like the Steelers, and root for ANYONE who's playing against the Cowboys).
I like Basketball too. DH does not and will not watch it.

Me, Me!!!! I have loved watching football since I was a child and would sit and watch with my Dad on Saturdays. We'd have one game on the TV and another on the radio!

And I don't have a man - except for my 8 yo ds - who is SO glad his mom loves football. We go to the local high school game on Friday night, watch/listen to Ole Miss (as hard as it can be) on the Saturdays that we don't go to the games and then watch NFL on Sunday afternoons and Monday night!

Now if I could just find a man that love my son and watching sports as much as I do.........

LOL! Too funny!

I love football, too... My DH, on the other hand, doesn't like sports at all.

We love professional football. We watch some college but we arent nearly as devoted as we are to the NFL.

GO STEELERS!!!

I dont watch football because my DH watches it. I watch it because I love it. I also didnt switch to Directv for any reason other than every year we get the NFL Sunday Ticket. We get to watch ALL the games every week. We never miss a Steelers game. We even have tickets for a home game this year and are very excited about that. Oh... and I dont wear my Steelers thong for hubby either, but I am sure he doesnt mind!!!!

I root for my college team and root AGAINST our rival, but I could take or leave football in general. My husband couldn't care less about any sport . . . I can't imagine calling football exciting, with all the constant stopping and starting. Basketball -- now THERE'S an exciting sport!

I love football. I've been a Steelers Fan since 1973 and the DH is an Eagles. I didn't do it to impress him. I still try and follow my old high school team when possible. Right now they are 4-0. WooHoo!! If I didn't have plans on Friday I wanted to go to the game since we went back home on vacation. Oh well, what can ya do.

My first husband had NOTHING to do with sports. But, being raised with three brothers and a dad who was a sports nut, I really, really enjoy football, baseball, and basketball. I will admit, however, that I like college ball more than pro ball. I LOVE the LSU Tigers--football, baseball, and women's basketball. David (we got married in June of this year) is sports crazy and has added golf into my life. I don't watch it to impress him. When it's on, I find myself sitting down and really getting into it. I went to my first PGA tournament last year, and I loved it. Nah, not trying to impress anyone--I just do what I like!!!
BTW--when it goes to pro football, we still pull for the Saints. Pro baseball--I love the Braves; David is a Reds fan--big time.
