I don't know, but I'd call my insurance company right away and explain it to them. Maybe they are aware of a possible scam, and maybe they can refuse any charges from the situation. At any rate, don't feel stupid. We're all caught off guard sometimes, and look at things differently in retrospect. Hindsight is 20/20. Good luck! |

Seems to me the insured would have to report any windshield damage to their insurance company. The repairs would then be authorized. DH and I have had several rock dings fixed on our windshields. However, I report the problem first. Insurance covers this type of repair in full since it saves the cost of replacing the windshield. |
