Question Anyone's DD been in a pageant before?

My 11 year old really want to be in a pageant in our small town, pop. 1200, it is a fundraiser to help cleanup the small downtown area, all the entry fees etc go to this project. Anyway, I said she could, it is separated into age groups. I don't have too much experience with pageants at this age (and I am not a big fan of pageants), my now 22 year old was in one when she was 16, it was also local and this is the first time they have had another since that time, but it was done differently. They have to have a gown/dressy dress (which we have), a talent (which we have), a casual outfit and an interview outfit. My question is what actually constitutes a casual outfit and interview outfit for 9-11 year olds? How casual would that be? Does it have to be something new or can it be something she already has? When I think of interview outfit, I personally think of a suit, LOL, what would be an appropriate interview outfit for that age group? Need opinions here? Thanks!

Way back in my pageant days (20yrs ago ) A casual outfit was just something really stylish or trendy. Think Gap or magazine pictures. The interview outfit was just as you said a suit or sunday dress. Hope your daughter has a great fun time
