Parents with teens and curfews!

Those of you with teens (15-18), if you don't mind me asking, what time do you have their curfew set at?

I have a 15-year-old stepson. He really doesn't have a curfew as he is usually home by 10 anyways. He is very responsible. If he comes home after 10, it is normally because he is out with his friends at the arcade, movies, school party after football games or their house. He has a cell phone so I can get in contact with him anytime I see fit. I think that curfews should be based on each child and how mature they are. His dad has custody, btw.

My 15 yr old dd's curfew is generally 9 on school nites, 11 on weekends. She is a responsible kid....good friends, good grades, active in school and on 2 cheer squads so there is varience allowed if I know who she is with and what they are doing.

I have a 16 year old, we usually set the curfew depending on the activity she is doing. If its the mall and hanging out there then its 9 on weeknights, she usually doesnt go out during the week though. I also want to know with who and where she will be.

DS is 16 we haven't really set a curfew. During the week he gets home around 9:30pm. He only goes out 2 or 3 times during the week. That is normally just to hang out with his friends at soccer games. On the weekend he normally wonders up around 11/12.

If he ever goes to staying out later than 12 we will most likely have a talk and set a time limit. This weekend he is camping with a bunch of friends (the the field at his friends house). We only let him go for the weekend because he has acted responsibly so far and we haven't had a reason not to trust him.

Kids in our town have to be off the streets by10 on school nights and at midnight on weekends - curfew is taken care of. I think those are reasonable times and my kids had no problem with it when they were under 18.

For mine 10pm on weeknights and weekends it depends on the activity and who they are with--if it is prom or homecoming never later than 1pm and that mine are always before that anyway--always by midnight. I have great kids AND more importantly I know their friends and dates are great kids too!

We have a city curfew here so we go by that. My DS is 17 and it is 1:00 on the weekends. During the week he is never out later than 9 or 10 because of school and football. Even on weekends he's home before the curfew. He's more of a homebody.

we have two 16 year old dd's... the city has a curfew of 10 pm on school nights and 11 pm on weekends...but our park has 9 pm curfew for both school nights and weekends.

So the girls have to be inside (or in our yard) at 9:00 pm...and have to be "in" the house not later than 10 or 11 pm (depending on the day)

This is weird, I never really thought about it but my kids don't have actual curfews. If they are going somewhere they know to come right home afterward. On school nights no one goes anywhere after dinner unless it is school or activity related. My two at home (15 and 16) don't date yet, so we have not run into that situation yet.
