Do you pay your bills online?

Were slowly one by one switching over to online payments. I love it so far! Is anyone else stamp free yet?

I had it down to paying the trash once every 3 months by mail, and paying rent/gas/water by check in person, everything else online... now we've moved and I don't know how all that is going to go, I think we can set up electric online, and there's no gas, water I guess is metered individually, not sure how to pay it yet.

I pay as many as I can online. Some aren't available to pay online. I wish they were, it is so much simplier.

I did that years ago until we had an issue.

We sent our credit card payment and the credit card never got it. They charged us a late fine, AND an over the limit fee (since the late fine put us over the limit).

This was a LONG time ago, 1998, when the service was new and not perfected yet. It did put me off though, and now I pay everything via the post office. They have never lost one of my bills

We went stampless about 6 months back and LOVE it. We did it because the post office lost our CC payment that we sent 3 weeks early! I love it this way now!

I would love to, but my bank charges a 1$1 fee per transaction, even four our mortgage payment which is at the same bank. It's cheaper to mail or drop off the payments.

We went stampless about 18 months ago and I love it!! A lot of our creditors even send us an ebill directly to my billpay, it has given me back about 1 hour every two weeks!

A weeks ago I had to mail something to my MIL, dropped it in the mail, but when I went to the mailbox the letter was still there, but with a sticky note. "Not enough postage", it had been so long since I used a stamp I didn't know they went up....lol

any thing that is available to us we pay online, and have opted for the paperless billing.......so much wasted paper......we still have 3 bills that payments are not offered online, which they would hurry up!

The only bill I don't pay online is our milk bill. We get dairy milk delivered and I put a check in the box once a month. For credit cards and house payments, they are scheduled thru the websites themselves and for the other bills like water, electric, we use the banks online banking. I haven't bought a stamp since the cost went up (and not too many before that either)

I would switch banks!!! and just pay them by check.

I pay everything online except the ones who haven't come into the 21st century! its the best and most places don't charge anything to do this anymore, I used to pay 9.95 to my mortgage company to pay online but they stopped that now.

I've been paying all my bills online for several years except for the mortgage, which I pay over the telephone. I just went to the post office yesterday to buy stamps to upgrade my .39 stamps, that I rarely used. The only bills I can't pay online seem to be the medical ones.

I have found, with my checking,as long as you have an address and account number they pay any bill. Some are done electronically but some are sent a "check" I actually get a copy that i can print out if needed.

I would love to pay bills online, but DH doesn't know how to use the computer so if something happened to me, it would be a mess

Anybody else with computer-illiterate husbands worry about this?

I pay everything that I possibly can online... I do a couple on the telephone and still have to send in a check for garbage (smalltime!) and household gas -- they charge a $4 fee for doing it online.

I pay all the CC's, home equity, lights, cell, and oil bill online. My car insurance and one other payment comes out automatically every month. I have to mail my car payment in. I have no idea why they don't have an online payment thing. Also, our mortgage was just "sold" from Flagstar to Chase, so it looks like I'll have to mail that in as well. I am NOT happy about that. Hopefully, they'll get our "new" account set up and I'll be able to pay them online, too. Otherwise, I'm not gonna be happy.

I don't use my bank's online bill pay service. I pay each of the individual creditor at their website and it's free.

I do a couple online and a couple by phone and the mortgage is automatically deducted, but I don't trust the utility companies with any access to my personal stuff. With a check they can't charge you more that you are paying, so I still do utilities by check...Time Warner especially will never have any automatic access to anything...

Teach him!!! I have most of our bills sent up as ebills through our banks billpay, I had shown husband how to do them, he said he understood. Great, about 2 months later I had to fly out to finalize the house were selling, left DH instructions to pay bills when he got paid. When you get a ebill on our billpay, it has a couple of radio buttons next to your options, one is pay bill in full, one is minimum the other is other amount. Husband didn't want to have to deal with looking through all the bills and hit minuting on all the bills, well thats what he thought he had done. He actually had hit pay in full to all of our bills, our checking account is linked to our savings account , which means he wiped out our entire checking and savings not including the payments that bounced, like my van and the house payment. I had to go to the bank the following week and explained what he did, they were so sweet and nice about, that they credited back all the overcharges and allowed us to pay our mortgage a month later. I am sure my family was the gossip all day at the bank, which I don't blame them, if it wasn't me I would of found it funny. The only good thing that happened was that we paid off all our credit card debt, but because of his mistake we had to borrow money out of our mutual fund to buy the new house. Its been almost 4 months now, and every time I log into our account and see how much we don't have in savings at the moment I get a little teary eyed.

With that being said, I still do love the convenience of paying the bills online, and works great if the person knows what they are doing!
