Do you have unfrugal friends ?

That constantly ask to borrow money from you? My husbands best friend makes twice the money my husband makes. His wife does the garage sale and ebay thing for clothes and even got into couponing for a shortlived while.
this is the 3rd time we've given them money. It doesn't bother me one bit because they always pay it back with interest! were making out great on the interest..lol They have no 401k or savings, but they also have no car payments, or credit card debt. In fact they filed bankruptcy 2 years ago and had hardly no bills. They spend every dime they make but we have no idea on what. It just blows my mind that they are so careless.. so last night I jump on ebay to check my stuff and went to their site to see the speakers he bought with our money for his dj service.. his wife had bought a bunch of sliver stuff.. 10 bucks here 10 bucks there.. WTH?? I laugh all the way to the bank though.. What gets me though.. is when were in a large group of people she tells everyone how much money they have in savings and I know it's a big fat lie.
They make fun of dh and I (in a nice way)because we don't spend anything. I politly tell them we can't because we keep lending them our money to make the interest off of them.. and we all laugh about it...
Do people make comments to you about being frugal? Are they pestering you for $$??

fyi I have no problem lending them money. This isn't a gripe.. we make better return on them than our mutual funds..lol

OH yes - some of our best family friends - they sued her father because of bad business practices and were awarded several million dollars. Don't know all the fine points. Neither of them work - they are building a new home - with a outdoor pool - indoor pool -basket ball courts and a full size baseball field!! They travel all the time own two vacation homes and eat out almost every meal-- and never stop telling us about the above-- LOL -- oh well they are nice people and our children all get along well

Oh no, fastest way to ruin a friendship is to lend a friend money. Dh takes the guys at work to lunch sometimes, and that's about as far as that goes.
