Concert Tickets and/or Sports Tickets

I was just wondering if anyone would pay the high amounts of money that scalpers want for tickets, such as Hannah Montana concert. My cousin wanted to take her daughters to the concert in Cleveland and before she could even order them, after 2 minutes of being up for sale they were all sold out! I guess there is some software program that scalpers have that lets them in before they go on sale. It is crazy. I checked on Ebay and some are going for $1000! Same for the Indians tickets. I was listening to the radio this morning and one lady said she got 2 H.M. tickets and was going to give them to her daughter's for Christmas but instead is going to sell them to pay for a cruise! How selfish. I was just curious as to what you all think about people scalping them and not giving anyone a far shot at paying a reasonable price for them.

I can't believe people pay those amounts! Scalpers wouldn't do it if people didn't pay it though...it's a shame they have nothing better to use their money on

Garth Brooks is coming the Kansas City in November. He made the rules for his ticket sales. Everyone has to go to the arena or a ticketmaster outlet today to get a numbered wristband. You then go back Saturday with the wristband and can buy tickets for $31. The Sprint Center made it clear that when he came to check out the arena, he made up the rules for the ticket sales. I think the whole Hannah Montana thing has a lot of attention. I know the Kansas City Council was looking into it here and I heard on the new that the Arkansas Attorney General is looking into it there. I think scalpers may soon have some new rules. I think they've ruined it for themselves.

I think it's really crappy and certainly not a fair system. BUT, that being said, if I was offered $3K for a pair of tickets, I don't think I would be able to turn that down. Hypocritical, I know, but just being honest.

Dh bought Ohio State vs. Texas football tickets last year, not really from a scalper, but from someone fromt he university (Texas). He paid 800 dollars for 'em. They were actually going a lot higher on Ebay.
I complained, but we had the best time, and it was the first time in a long time that DH and I did together so it was well worth the money. Of course it was even better since we won

I heard that too. wasn't that on 104.1?? I can't say that I blame her, but will all these people that didn't get tix it is a shame.. It's a shame that people will pay these scalpers the money and keep them in business.... I liked pearl jams view on ticket master.. not using them and selling tix themselves!

btw... tim richards on 104.1 is my crazy cousin!

I'm not sure what station it was on...I'm a channel flipper in the am! It could have been that or 92.5 since those are the two that I normally listen to in the am.
