Melaleuca

Has anyone been involved with the business venture called Melaleuca? I am thinking that it is similar to what used to be called Amway and is now Quixtar. I have a friend of a friend that wants to present the program to me and it makes me wonder if it is a pyramid program and if so, I would avoid like the plague. Just from a little bit of searching that I've done, they have all types of products and everything is extremely concentrated.

I was in it for the products and the only thing I found irritating was that you have to buy a certain amount of products per month. Each product has a "point" value and you have to buy at least 35 points. I didn't need that much. It forces you to overspend. It is HARD to get out. I put it in writing, called them and they said no problem. Then they charged me for the 35 product points I didn't order the following month. I protested the charge and it took 4 months to resolve. It was nasty. I would avoid it personally. There are better products for less money and without the scheme behind it all. They use lots of scare tactics to make you think you should use their products. Thing is, if you ask for an ingredient list of the products, they won't give it to you

My sister did this once so she could get the products. suppose to be hypoalligentic ot how ever you spell it. she ended up with a horrible rash that the drs traced back to the laundry products. she had to get the Dr to write the compnay to get out of it. They wont let you out very easy and the stuff is so over priced you cant sell it. Its a horrible company.
