What is it about a newly cleaned floor that...

attracts spills! I was up early this morning so I decided to go ahead and mop, a nice quiet activity that wouldn't wake those still sleeping (aren't I considerate )

get home from taking the oldest 4 to school, pour myself a cup of coffee, sit down at the laptop, go to take my shoes off so I can put my feet up, and........I put my foot in a sticky spill of what I'm guessing is orange juice. Look under the kitchen table only to see a huge sticky half dried puddle. UGH! What is it about a nice clean floor that attracts messes!.....

just had to vent a little.....

I hate that. I always mop before my kids leave to visit grammy or something so I know I'll get about 24 hours of a nice, clean floor before the tornado comes back through.

Oh I so feel your pain. Every time I vacuum and wash the floors my 3 cats decide they need to release their hairballs in every single room.

That's what I was going to say! We only have one cat, but he loves puking on nice clean floors, preferably freshly vacuumed carpets! Stupid cat.

Cute replies - first thing that came to my mind was crap tracked in by the cats and the husband! The tomcat still goes outside on occasion so of course he comes in the door in the morning with damp/muddy paws. And the husband just tracks everything in - oh how I love living the country life! No wonder I only mop my floors twice a year!

and at first I was thinking that you were atleast going to be the one that got to dirty it... I know the feeling though and don't you love how they spill and don't even tell you.

Wink

It never fails! I have a baby that's crawling, so I have been trying to be extra super clean, and it never fails! You can almost sit back and sell tickets for the spills that are about to take place. Amazing.
