X-Mas Card Clothing Ideas

Help... I have a photographer coming to the house on Saturday (tomorrow) and I don't have any ideas as to what type of clothing to wear for our X-Mas cards. It is unseasonably warm here, will be in the upper 80's, and it normally snows here in the winter months. I was thinking of white T-shirts and jeans but DS doesn't own and won't wear jeans. I wanted to get my dogs in the picture, they are mostly black and white, so I thought maybe black and white with some red shirts in the mix? Anyone have any last minute ideas? Any really great previous family cards that you had done that weren't really traditional? I also need some background ideas....

TIA

I have seen many cards where each family member wears a different shade of a color- ex:// royal blue, light blue, cobalt blue etc

Do you think you could get DS to at least wear a white tshirt? then maybe match the rest of your bottoms to what he wants to wear? Khakis , etc?

Im sure red shirts would look great if not!
What color bottoms are you wearing with your outfits?

As for backgrounds, do you have any large rocks or stone formations outside you can sit by/on? Or stand in front of some beautiful fall trees-

Have fun- good luck getting fantastic pictures!

I like the idea of white shirts/khaki pants, red shirt/khaki pants, white shirt/jeans, black shirt/jeans, or even like you said - combination of red/white/black shirts.

A big tree outside would be a nice backdrop, or rocks, cacti (depending where you live), river/lake, the beach is always fun too!

Good-luck & have fun!

Thanks for the ideas. I guess I'll as DS what he is willing to wear and work around that. We have a large soybean field behind the house and no beaches or fountains, but we might be able to use the pasture as a background and maybe one of the horses will grace us with her presence.

How about boys in khaki/white, girls in jeans/white?? Or just a mix of khaki & jeans so he will not stand out. And if it is warm I say BARE FEET! I live at the beach and lots of families do the white tops, jean bottoms and barefoot pics.

I love that look - white tops, jean bottoms and barefoot - I received a few of those for Xmas cards and loved them

Well we are done. The dog's didn't cooperate so we nixed that idea. My DS only had a red shirt so I wore a white shirt, DH wore green and DD wore black/white under shirt. We wound up taking the pic's on the top story of the redwood play set with pine trees in the background. I think it will be cute.

Thanks for all the responses. I think I will plan better for the pic's next year and get everyone a different shade of red or blue.
