Okay, I have some questions about menopause and know that I can count on some of you sharing your experience/knowlede with me!
If you begin to go through menopause and are still taking the birth control pill, will your period still continue as normal? Does "the pill" continue to make your body menstruate? If so, how would you know that you are starting it? Or does menopause 'over rule' the pill?
I know that once menopause starts, menstruation can become sporatic, does that still happen if you are on "the pill"? I am 45 and have been having a lot of irregularity lately. I will go to my GYN and ask, but until that appt. date comes, I thought I would throw it out there to all of you!

I know the pill halps you get thru the symptoms of menopause because I had to go back on them when the hot floashes etc,. was driving me nuts....I had so many problems I finally had a hystro at 45, May of this year,.I don't think th epill will keep you having periods.

had a hysterectory 22 yrs ago at the age of 24. they left a ovory to help with the hot flashes and now it has died. lol.

I don't have any answers to your questions, but I can certainly sympathize with you. I'm 44 and my gyn said that I'm going through "perimenopause"...He said that he felt I'm too young to go through menopause, although I have friends who have gone through it at age 47. I found this site on AOL and it has alot of information...I don't have hot "flashes"...I'm hot constantly...burning up and it's terrible. ~Lisa
