Wow! Your (blank) looks teriffic, what's your secret?

Ok, I just learned this new trick for styling my hair. It is naturally wavy and when I want it straight I use a round brush, pile it on top of my head, and straighten a section at a time. I read in a mag that you only need to worry about straightening the top layer. So I pulled the rest into a ponytail to get it out of the way and straightened the top layer. Let me tell you, my hair looked great! Becuase the underneath was wavy it looked thick and had great volume. Usually I have to tease to get volume.

So what is your beauty secret or favorite product?

That trick won't work for my hair LOL. I have to straighten it all with a flatening iron or I look like a Christmas tree with the puffy layers undersneath poking out LOL

I guess mine would be my lipstick. I wear MAC all day wear. It's a stain with a gloss you put on over it. It lasts like 8-12 hours (unless you eat oily food...then it comes off). Ladies always comment how nice it looks and how I never have to reapply

Ok, I need something like that. Does it get goppy at the corners of your mouth? Ones like this I have tried before did. I looked on the site, is it the ProLong Wear?

yes, it's pro long wear. I got mine at a Cosmetics Store outlet for $14 and I love it. It does not get gloopy. You put the stain on and let it "set" for 1-2 minutes. It's dry. You top with the gloss. The gloss is more "sticky and shiny" than I like so I use a BBW mint lip balm or burts bees lip balm over it. Without a balm or gloss, it's really dry

I don't like paying the $17 my salon charges for waxing my eyebrows, so I take Anbesol and put it over my brow and the pluck them about 2 or 3 minutes, helps with the pain. Then I grab my aloe out of the fridge and apply after I finish plucking, placing it in the fridge helps with the swelling!

My hair is very long - gets frizzy as soon as I HEAR that it wil be a humid day LOL!

To keep it glossy, I apply my best scented hand cream/lotion on my hands very liberally (these days it's BBW Cinnamon buns" and apply it all the way down my hair. It keeps it much more glossy than elixers do, and I get such compliments on my hair and/or my fragrance whenever I do this.

Oil of Olay Regenerist Serum. I use it twice a day, under makeup, or moisturizer and before going to bed. Wow, it made all the difference in my skin. I had outbreaks all the time (I have had maybe 3 red pimples in 6months) and my skin is soft and tight. It is amazing!

I just had to say thanks to the OP since I have naturally wavy hair and usually straighten it with a flat iron I will have to try your technique and see what happens, but thanks for the tip.

I do this too! My oldest DD thinks I'm nuts, but it works better then anything I have bought that is made for frizzy hair.....and smells so much better!

My calves! Everyone always asks me how I keep them so nice and tight! (keep in mind the rest of my body isn't even close to being nice and tight! LOL!) I love shoes, and heels especially since I'm on the short side....so my secret to keeping my calves looking nice is to wear the heels, chase 6 kids around while wearing them, and always parking as far away as possible when I'm out. I'm sure I look crazy when I'm shopping for food, and I am pulling one cart and pushing another up the hill that our parking lot is on.....but let me tell you, the cart thing wears my butt out!

Another new to me trick is using a light cream colored eye shadow or actual eye brightner under your brow and in the crease of your eye.....This really opens my eyes up and I don't look so tired and wore out.

i love sheer cover, it does work just the way the infomercial says. it covers my reddish looking skin around my nose and cheeks and evens out my complexion.

I also use Olay Regenerist with SPF 30 sunscreen twice a day. No more breakouts and yes, soft skin!

Also, every Sunday afternoon, I treat myself to a bath... turn up the water heater (!) and pour in the bath salts and work off the dry skin on my feet and elbows and do an Origins Modern Friction facial scrub... Then I get out and slather every inch of my body with the Nivea blue. Lastly... I turn down the water heater. LOL.

I get a lot of compliments on how young I look and I live in the desert and am out in the sun a LOT!!! So, it is quite a compliment, I think.

I always wear non conforming socks.. so if I am in a nice pants suit and I have a pair of short boots with them I am usually wearing cherry sock, snowman or frog socks.. I am a non confomists, but only when it isn't against the rules (ie uniform for work, etc)
I also have horribly wavy hair the longer it gets.. so I just hop out of the shower and race to work without blowdrying it. I let the window down and let it 'air dry' on the way to work, put it in a head band and after a quick brush on the way in the door I am good to go until at least lunch... everyone comments on 'what do you use on your hair'.. I tell them it is secret formula 55.. (get it driving down the road at 55).. heheheheh...

I LOVE that lipstick.. I usually try to wear some like that.. I may have found a new brand thanks..
