Any good Pecan Pie and Peach Cobbler recipes & hints?

My husband would like me to make him a good southern pecan pie. The problem is, I don't make them well. They never set up for me. Do you have a good recipe or any ideas that work for you to make them taste and look good? He would also like a great deep dish Peach Cobbler. Any good homemade recipes? Thank you so much

peach cobbler is a breaze to make and they will think you worked all day making it.
melt a stick of butter in a cassarole dish.
in a different bowl. mix one cup self rising flour, 1 cup sugar and 1 cup milk. mix it all up and dump it on the butter you melted in the dish. dump whatever fruit you have in the middle and DO NOT STIR . bake it on 375 until it is good and brown. the crust will rise up over the fruit and they will think you worked your butt off making it.

the pecan pie is a different story. i havent made one in yrs since our tree died and they are soo high to buy. hopefully someone else here can help with that one. I do remember mine had karo syrup in it and it was veryvery good.
all this talk about desserts is making me hungrey!

I bet you'll find some good help over at the Let's Get Cookin' Forum!
Some of those ladies (and men!) seem to be amazing cooks!

This is the exact same recipe I use!! My mom used it too. It's easy and it's absolutely the best cobbler recipe!! I usually bake mine about 25-30 minutes, OP. We call it the cuppa, cuppa cobbler recipe because you use a cup of each ingredient!!

I'll have to get back to the OP on the pecan pie recipe.
