My kids are so excited that the Indians won,and for DH and I it was even better that they beat the Yankees! I really hope that they can pull it off this time, remember not to long ago (well ok, it's been a little while) when they got to the series, but to no avail.....Really hoping it's their year......

Ohio really needs something too! college football and basketball teams get to their prespective championships and lose, Pro Basketball team loses too. Pro Football, well let's just not even go there.....

Congrats to the Indians.

I fell asleep - even when it was so exciting! I can't figure out why they are having the games so late, even on a Saturday. I guess the networks want to maximize profits and cover all of college football across the timezones and then do baseball championsships.

For what its worth, I don't think the Red Sox got so cocky. It's really not their nature.

It certainly was a good, close game till that last inning! It's funny, because I'm ususally an early-bird and I just couldn't get myself to sleep even after the game ended. I was so hyped!!

totally love watching Becket pitch, but could watch Tiim Wakefield pitch all day long!!! I actually fell asleep last night during the game-at a tie score!!! Had to work this am and didn't have time to check the stats. Imagine my dismay, when I heard the final score later this afternoon. I must say, the whole Red Sox team bent over totally backwards when our son was sick w/ cancer. Better luck tomorrow night----

Didn't watch last nights game, we were watching Rutgers and USF football game......Know the Sox won, but did they play great? Did we play badly?

Wondering cj what you thought of Manny Ramirez's comments? I didn't think they were quite as bad as everyone made them out to be, but something he probably shouldn't have said out loud.....

I personally think Manny's comment was simply a reflection of their low-key, not-phased-by-anything style. It's just Red Sox, IMO. Doesn't mean they weren't going to play their hearts out.

No, but there was plenty of crying here in Virginia last night-genuine tears of joy!!! As many of you know, Patrick (our oldest son), who has been in remission from Stage 4 Alveolor Rhabdomyosarcoma (sucky cancer) since April chose to go to Fenway and meet Tim Wakefield as his Make-A-Wish. The whole day at Fenway on July 5 this past summer was truly magical. Not only did Tim Wakefield go out of his way for our son, but the rest of the team was amazing as well. What comes around goes around!!!!! Just the thought of that trip to Fenway brought a smile to my kid's face----from hospital stays, weekly chemotherapy, puking, poking, and probing, and six weeks of radiation that totally burned his skin in places I won't even mention--just know that the thought of that trip kept him going! It is just so wonderful to know that the year we got to go to Fenway and meet the entire team, we are going to the World Series!!!!! What a fantastic way to celebrate. Honestly, at this point, while I hope they win, I am just so happy to watch them play a few more games. This is so frickin' awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
