Advice? Help with a trade?!

Hi ya'll~

Someone on here posted that they were looking for something.. I have lots of the somethings to give them. They will be buying these somethings versus working out a trade. They want me to send them to them first, then get paid. That is not settling well with me.. just because I don't think you could do that at Walmart .. get the product, take it home then send them the money. Same with ebay, you pay first then send product. She keeps mentioning her great feedback here, and to be honest if she had the feedback of 100% I still don't roll like that.. I want my money upfront. Am I wrong in this thinking or have times changed and I need to roll with the new way of thinking?
Any helpful suggestions would be appreciated.
Thanks!~

I don't do a lot of trading but I would want my money first. Things have a way of happening and unless I was just willing to give away the items then I would not mail them first.

That is the only way I trade also. If I'm buying something I fully expect to pay for it before I get it. So I feel it should be the same way on here.

I trade a lot of coupons. I will not ship until paypal is received. I state that in every email I send. I don't think it really has anything to do with feedback really.

sounds like a trade I was offered. someone wanted me to pay the postage to mail them the coupons. i was trading 10 coupons for 5 cents each and would make 50 cents and then spend 41 to send them to her? dont think so. she wanted me to mail them too before she sent paypal. NOT.
maybe your trader is a newbie and not sure how trading goes. ( mine wasnt)

UMMM nooo That isn't how business works lady! Do you think i can walk in to sears and say i would like to take your washer home and if i like it i will come back and pay for it? lol some people are just dumb.

You definately get paid for the item before you send it. It doesn't matter how good their feedback is and how would you even know it is really them they are giving you a name of the feedback for. Mine is easy, my board name under my feedback is Penny, my real name, but most people use another name. How do you know this person wouldn't just look on the feedback board for someone with alot of good feedback and say my screen name is ........What if it wasn't really them and you sent the item without receiveing payment thinking 'oh well, this person has good feedback, they are trustworthy". I wouldn't do it.

I would never send anything without the money first, because I'm sure the item would disappear in the mail or get lost and you will never see the money. If they want it bad enough they will pay you first.

Yeah, I sent her an email backing out of the trade. If she has sent the money (which I doubt) then I will just send it back. Thanks for your comments, I knew it was right how I was feeling..
