Probably not *that* bad... Here are the pros and cons as *I* see them! Pros -- They look nice. They can hold more weight then most metal swingsets. Cons (sadly...)-- I rode on a tire swing once and nearly puked after about 30 seconds -- but that's me! Kids outgrow, or get tired of, almost all swingsets. We live in AZ, yes, it would dry out too quickly and I don't like refinishing stuff. Good luck in your decision. I remember a few years ago when we thought it would be nice to get one of these and we decided against it but I know many people who have them and are happy with them. |

I bought one of those wooden swingset kits from 84 Lumber 12 years ago. It still stands today, with vines growing around it, but has many years left for play. The wood was pressure treated, so it could tolerate the seasonal changes.
