political dream lineup...

Okay, I was just thinking, for an interesting political season, here is my dream lineup.
Pres/VP
Clinton/Obama vs. Giuliani/Romney... I think that would be a tight race, and fun to watch- debates and all... What do you all think?

I wish I enjoyed watching it. It is difficult to make an informed decision when you don't trust any of them.

I think Rice/Cheney would make the win, although I think soon Jeb will take the WhiteHouse. I can't stand baby killers Guilliani or flip/flop Romney. As for the dems, i don't think it matters who runs really as they will lose since they are so soft on the terrorists.

Let me be a little clearer, it's not my dream for EITHER Clinton or Giuliani to win. But that's what I think will happen, so to mix it up a bit, and to make for an entertaining political season, I thought it would be interesting to see who could win if that's who was running...

Obama and Clinton will not run on the same ticket...I am sure Clinton would probably pick someone like Edwards and as far as Obama who knows who we would pick but I am positive it won't be Clinton.....the Clintons would overshadow anyone running first seat, if they were second seat.

Isn't Romney an LDS/Mormon? I have lived in several predominantly Mormon areas here in AZ and Romney is a very common Mormon surname. Just curious... I'm sure that I could find out elsewhere but didn't think that it would hurt to ask here.

Are you serious? Those two couldn't get more than 30% of the vote on their best day!

Editing to add -- maybe I should say that Rice/Cheney is my dream team, because it would mean another victory for the Democratic candidate!

My dream team, that's never going to happen?

Any combination of Mark Warner, Joe Biden or Chris Dodd.

And, yes, Romney is a Mormon.

I would like to see Judge Judy in the White House. She is no nonsense and cuts right thru the crap. She makes people take responsibility and doesn't tolerate the BS from them. For VP I'd like that Paul guy. Sorry, don't remember his full name.

Hey, you said "dream line-up" right???

I'm in such a funk right now over politics.....BLECH!!!!

Judge Judy makes over $25 MILLION dollars a year right now--and has to answer to no one. No way she would or should give up that Gig!!! I like the idea of Gore running, but I also don't see him putting himself through all that again. After all, he has already won the POPULAR vote in this country and it did him no good--got robbed anyway. As a private citizen he has accomplished a lot more than some presidents have for the good of the globe--not just the nation.

Yes. Secretary, (I helped start a war for the man I love and have done nothing of note since.), Rice and Vice President, (There is no law that I need to follow in my kindom.), Cheney. Now theres a ticket made in hell.

Truble you are right, we need to have them running. If there was ever a nightmare ticket, they would be it and the win would be easy pickings for the Dems.

Newt should run... It would be funny to have a president Newt. "She turned me into a Newt... I got better" 10 geek points for knowing the movie that was in...

Seriously, it is down right depressing the choices we are going to have. Regardless of who gets the nomination, I'm going to have to hold my nose and vote for one of them. It is a shame that in today's world you have to be a bit of a whore (no offensive to the ladies of the night) to get elected to the highest office in the land by prostituting yourself to the interest groups that will get you elected.

It would be nice to see somebody run who spoke what they believed (regardless of the audience) and didn't have handlers telling them which way the wind was blowing so they could change their tune and get the votes What happened to having convictions and standing for something. I'll take somebody who actually believes in something even if I disagree with them...

Monty Python and the Holy Grail...but it is worth more than just 10 points!

President George Clooney…no need for a Vice President.

Now there's a candidate I could get behind or in front of or just near, she says as she wipes the drool from her chin. But he has to get rid of the facial hair that he had the last time I saw him, otherwise I might be thinking about "voting" for someone else.

Let me again say... I don't want Clinton or Giuliani with respective VP's to win... I just think it would make for an interesting political season... I like watching a close race, not a blowout.

Gore/Obama would be my dream ticket. But Sen. Clinton has been making an incredible amount of progress. I also like Dodd and Kucinich. Richardson is good too.

On the other side, Brownback has dropped out. I believe that Romney will get the nomination. He is who the big money donors are giving to. Rudy's infidelities and association with Kerrick (who has mob ties and is about to be indicted) I believe will be enough to kill his campaign. Huckabee might stand a chance. Fred Thompson seems to have fizzled out.

I can think of worse ticket than Cheney/Rice; Cheney/Rumsfield.

I saw some interesting numbers the other day. 53% of the country identifies itself as Democratic, 12% as Independent and only 35% as Republican.

that is interesting... I used to be a registered republican... but since we're absentee voters (military) we noticed that we were always getting duplicates of the campaign propoganda... so I registered democrat and dh stayed republican... so we can get all campaign info... only issue is in the primaries... but I figure in today's times its no different to be a liberal republican or a conservative democrat...
