I fell really guilty this year, we didn't spend much time outside (me and the kids). When we lived in our old house we went out every day, but in the summer it's too hot and lately I just have so much to do inside that by the time I could go out, it's dark. I did do a lot in the spring and we are getting the driveway paved soon, so we can have more fun riding bikes and coloring with chalk, and maybe then I will be more inspired to be out. This house just always looks terrible outside and maybe I am just overwhelmed with the mess that I would rather hide out inside, I don't really know.

Outside. Love being outdoors. Love the mountains.
We have almost 10 acres so they is always someting to get done outside. We have 2100 square feet of pressure-treated covered porches that wraparound the house. Just finished building those this year...I love sitting outside.

I think we spend more time outside during the warmer / hotter months than at any other time during the year...simply because we don't like cold or rainy weather. LOL

Ice skating is great---ON TV. Being outside during the fall is ok for the colors and stuff, but the dampness and cold just makes you want to go back inside the house.

In general I would say about 45% outdoors and 55% indoors for us.

Indoor!!! I love to curl up on the couch with a good book, a warm blanket and a fire in the fireplace We do things outside too though. My oldest has soccer several times a week and today we went to the zoo.I just personally love the days when I dont even have to change out of my jammies

I prefer outdoors but the rest of my family are indoor people. Sigh. Over the years, I've learned to adjust... BUT when they are gone to school and work and I'm not subbing, I spend the entire day outdoors until everyone starts drifting in... I was raised in the country and did the same thing as a child. Out the door at sunrise and back home at sunset -- all year long!

I like being outside, but I work nights, and summers here are REALLY hot, so it doesn't happen as much as I'd like. We get out mainly to shoot (not so good with kids) and geocache. I really recommend the latter, since it'll take you to places you didn't know existed, and it's very family-friendly, but you do need a little handheld GPS.

I definitely an indoor girl. I don't mind spring and fall when there aren't a lot of bugs and not to hot. But during the middle of summer, I rather stay in my air conditioning, and by the time its cool enough to go outside the bugs are out. However, I could swim all day at an outdoor pool during the summer, but don't look for my on a hiking/biking trail.

I love being outside when it is hot and sunny but other than that I love being inside with a blanket, book, coffee and pups... Cookie

Outside! Especially this time of year! It is the best! So pretty. I can't wait for it to cool off enough here to have all the windows open , love the house getting that fresh air in!

When it's hot, we are usually at the beach. On the cooler days, I am more of an inside person. The two older kids are usually outside playing baseball/football, but the two younger kids would rather stau inside.

Outside doing certain things all summer..riding the motorcycle/pool sitting on the deck in the evening..ditto in the Fall..Winter more inside with books and movies...Spring outside a lot...
This summer sucked between the surgery and the accident..I spent most of my time inside because of the heat if I was not in the pool...
I have only been on 2 bike rides this summer, one in May before the surgery...at least that was a long one over 200 miles, then one short one a few weeks ago that about killed me,..sigh...

I miss being able to be outside all the time.......This year we've become more indoor people then ever....We had so much rain this spring and early summer, then once it stopped it was horribly muddy for a couple weeks, and then it just got so hot, you didn't want to get outside. This past week We have only been getting a high in the 80's so we've been going outside more. I loved growing up in the country, sitting outside in the morning and evening watching sunsets and sunrises......just lounging in the porch swing reading a book.....man I hope where ever we go for our next duty station we can be more out in the country....I miss it.

I love being inside. Like one of the previous posters, I really enjoy curling up on the couch with a good book and a fire going when it is cold out.

I have never been one to be digging in the dirt or doing landscaping. We do however like to go to our friends pond a couple of times a year and go fishing and cook out.
