Why did my thread get dropped?

I finally post after all this time and its gone. Does anyone want to tell me why? I give up.

Nancy -

I was not around, but I can only assume (and yeah, I know what happens when you ass-u-me) that some bad behaviour was exhibited in your thread, perhaps related to "the other forum", and it was best to remove the thread because it had gotten either nasty, or off-track, or both.

I agree with Cscout's suggestion in another thread that it would be a nice courtesy to the OP to let them know when a deletion happens so as not to leave them hanging. Don't know how much extra work that would be though.

Keep posting! (but maybe ona less heated subject

I read the thread u to a certain point. Left, came back and it was gone, so I must have missed ssome fireworks. Personally, I found the part I read to be quite informative. It also sorta confirmed some suspicions.

I am certain management does the best they could but I don't agree with nuking an entire thread because some people are disruptive or being nasty. My suggestion would be to delete the 'bad' posts and if they feel the thread will continue down a spiral path, to just lock it up. Some people took the time and effort to post some encouraging comments and deleting theirs too was not fair, IMO.

This is very true. However, sometimes the opportunity presents itself to make "wrongs" right. For some people, the truth hurts. Unfortunately, the OP's thread was hijacked in an attempt to bring a certain poster to be held accountable for all their past/present doings.

You talk accountability, and truth--but yet you won't post under your real user name! Hypocritical is ask me.

I don't have a problem with holding people accountable, or wanting the truth, but to register under a new user name just to post like you have is crap, if you ask me.

Why keep them viewable? What's the point? Especially for threads that degrade to nothing more than a train wreck. I know some like to see that stuff, but it's really not necessary.

Addison tried to contact the OP to let him/her know. I probably would do the same in her position, try to contact via PM or email.
