I've been with my bank for 20 years and I'm fed up with their lousy customer service! (I know, why did it take me so long!) I'm ready to make a change but would like to know from those of you who have changed banks what kind of headaches I can expect. We have direct deposits and plenty of automatic payments and online bill paying that I will need to change. I've found the bank just need to get the ball rolling.

We switched from a bank to a credit union.

how many headaches you have really depends on the new bank or credit union.

Does the new one offer the same features the old one did? If so, then establishing a redirect for online bill payment, auto withdrawals and such is fairly easy--it's all done at home online.

Direct deposit will require a voided check and voided deposit slip showing the routing numbers and account number (starter checks are good for this), and then it takes about 2 weeks through your employer.

Other than that, it's good to go and fairly easy.

if it wasn't for my ebay business i wouldn't use a bank at all.

My bank has been changed twice.Both times the new bank has done everything for me.Including switching my direct deposits.
