I could just spit. D/s is a junior, lives out of state in an off-campus apartment since last June with 2 others, also students.
He heard some rumors recently that management was quietly telling long-time residents the bldg would be closing in February, and offering them apartments at other buildings. None of the student residents have been notified, despite the fact that this building is OWNED by the university. He's been asking his Advisor, who knows nothing about it. I've called building management, who will "not confirm or deny" it.
Finally spoke to the Housing Office Supervisor. She tells me she "will not confirm" that building is closing, she really doesn't know, though she's heard the rumors.
Now I'm waiting for a call back from yet another person at the University, while my son and his friends are stressing about the idea of being tossed out in the middle of the year. I suspect they will close in December for holidays, then not re-open since January is inter-session (extra optional courses). If we have to find him a new place to live, and move him, I am going to lose my mind. We JUST moved him in!
Okay, my rant is completed. Better go use this energy for something before I bust.
