| How many pairs of shoes do your kids have?
I'm just curious here.....my boys are driving me crazy. I'm a shoe person love shoes! My little ones, where they same size so they probably have well over 20 pairs of shoes for this winter, including 4 different styles of boots, and I will probably pick up a few more here and there as we get farther into cooler weather.....My oldest DD has about 9 pairs, but always wears the same old black chuck taylors with skulls on them (with uniforms, it's her only expressive item she can wear) My two oldest boys only have one pair of good shoes right now, and one pair of sandals, and my youngest son has 3 pairs.....Now I offer to buy them shoes all the time, so they can have a little variety, but like wearing the same thing time and time and time and time and time again.....Are all boys like this?

My son has 1 pair (keeps complaining his old shoes don't fit once he gets a new pair, hard to believe he's outgrowing them THAT fast!). Daughter has 1 pair of tennis shoes and 3 pairs of sandals, two pairs should be too big but she doesn't listen and wears them anyway... baby is almost 1 and should be getting her first 2 pairs soon.

SON: Crocs,,tennis shoes, merrels, snow boots so I guess that's 4 Daughter: Cross, flip flops, tennis shoes (2 pair), dress boots, snow boots, mary janes so 7 pair

The 15 month old has a pair of church shoes and a pair of sneakers, neither of which she keeps on her feet.  The 5 year old has two pairs of sneakers (one for school and one she wears outside), two prs dress shoes for church and two pair of sandals (one for play, one for "good".) The 13 year old has who knows how many. She's obsessed w/shoes. I have NO idea how many she has now.

DD 14, has 1 pair dress heels, 1 dress shoes, 2 tennis shoes, umpteen pairs of flip flops and one pair dress wedge flip flop. DS 12, has one pair dress shoes, 2 pairs athletic shoes and 2-3 flip flops. Honestly, I don't understand a child having 15-20 pairs of shoes. |

Both my boys have way more shoes than they need! DS#1 (age 7) 2 pairs of Crocs, 1 pair dress shoes, a pair of sneakers that he wears all the time and another new pair he has not worn yet, 1 pair Teva sandals which he doesn't really wear, 1 pair of soccer cleats (do these count), 1 pair of rain boots, 2 or 3 pair of flip flops DS#2 (age 4) 2 pairs of sneakers (only because he lost one shoe, but we found it after I bought him a new pair), 3 pair of Crocs (one is too small, but he won't let me take them), 1 pair of dress shoes, 1 pair of lace-up boots (these were hand-me-downs from DS#1), 1 pair of rain boots, 1 pair of light-up shoes (which are nearly too small, but again, he won't let me take them), 1 pair of Merrell slip-on shoes (probably also too small, but his favorite), soccer cleats, Teva sandals, a few pair of flip flops and a whole bunch of hand-me-down shoes which are still too big for him. ds 10 has 3pairs,old tennis shoes and school ones.and a pair of croc. dd5 : 2 pairs of chuck taylor,2 pair of tennis shoes for school,a pair of croc.1 pair of boots fo rthe winter... (alos a pair of tennis 1 size toobig,$3.74 a target,and 1 pair of flip flop and 1 pair of sandals for next year ,bought on clearance) dd13: 4 pairs of chuck taylor low rise ,1 pair of tennis shoes. but from may till school starts,they are bare foot.just keep some flip flops in teh car for them....

My 14 yr old son has a pair of athletic shoes (Zoo York) that he wears almost every day; a pair of "dressy casual" shoes that he picked out and wears rarely; and a pair of thongs that he wore maybe twice. My 17 DD, however, probably has -- and I am NOT exaggerating -- 30 pairs of shoes---between her flats, boots, pumps and other heels, tennies, moccasins, etc. Definitely an Imelda in the works....

I better not let my boys see this post. They constantly want more and more shoes, they are worse than me. DS 16 - 2 pair sneakers, 1 pair boots, 1 pair hunting boots, 1 pair flip flops DS 13 - 1 pair sneakers, 1 pair basketball shoes (only worn for games), 1 pair boots, 1 pair dress shoes, 1 pair sandals, 1 pair flip flops Last edited by MyTime; 10-20-2007 at 11:43 AM. |

I was thinking the same thing Cj.. What are Ranking? I have a 2 and 4 year old and they have 30 pairs of shoes each. value city has great sales..lol

DS...2 tennis shoes, 1 pair of boots, 1 pair of flip flops, 2 pair cleats = 6 DD...2 pair of dress shoes, 2 pair of tennis shoes, 1 pair of flip flops, 1 pair cleats, 1 pair snow boots = 7 These are shoes that fit them right now. I can't imagine my kids having 30 pairs each and continually replenishing them....their feet grow so fast! Rebecca |

I would say somewhere around 15 shoes for DS....... He has 3 pairs of sneakers...one for play, one he wears to school and one pair for gym, 2 pairs of crocs a plain black ones and his brand new Chicago Bears ones, 2 pairs of sandals, 3 pairs of flip flops, 2 pairs of dress shoes one each of black and brown, 1 pair of black slip ons, 2 pairs of boots, 1 pair of galoshes, 1 pair of water shoes and about 5 pairs of slippers. I love shoes.....they always fit  I easily have over 100 pairs.
