Many many years ago I lost my username. Could not remember it for nothing. so I re-registered with producemama1. Well then I found my old password and went back to producemama. (it had all my saved stuff).

But now I don't remember the password for the other to delete it. I forgot all about it till I got a birthday greeting. I have not used producemama1 since 2003. lol


does anyone know how to delete the one?

I started out as chelmo in 1999.
Became a mod with the chelmo name and had to get another name for non-mod postings in Jan 2000.
Then they decided to make mod names uniform and I became modcindy
Then they decided to make another change and I became MCLeaderCindy.
Finally I am back to chelmo

I also came here in 1999 as mdrpooh. That's all I've ever been. I left for a while since my life had gone in a different direction but I've been back, off an on, for about a year. I really don't see the need to have one than one name.

There was a hiccup in the system sometime in 1999 or 2000? I had to re-register with a new name but only used it a few times before going back to this one after the issue was repaired.

I only have one account. What you see is what you get. Plus somedays I'm so scattered I can barely remember my one user name, it would be way too much trouble for me to keep up with more.

This is just conjecture on my part, but I think that one reason people have more than one account is because they leave MyCoupons with some sort of fanfare and then find themselves drawn back but don't have the balls to admit it. (pardon my language, just trying to liven things up a bit )

I actually have two but only because of technical issues a really long time ago. I joined the board when it first started and I was mom2twins. Then something happened (it's been so long I can't remember) and I had to 'start over', so I used mom2twins2. So basically I've had the same name just added a 2 to the end of it.

By the way, I'm pretty sure that Vbulletin software has IP tracking, so the powers-that-be can ascertain which posters are using multiple user names to some degree of accuracy. No, not fool proof, but probably easy to find the simple cases...

VB does indeed have IP tracking, however because we are behind a load balancer, we need to hack VB to have it find the real IP and not the IP of the load balancer... We have this in place for sign ups but have not changed VB to look at the right HTTP header to record the real IP. They are in our logs though.

Whoops - I voted two, but only because I didn't read far enough to see the "technical issues" choice. I had to re-register at some point because I seemed to have lost my old name. I thought I was using my correct username and password but it wouldn't let me in. I'd been gone for a couple of years or so, and didn't have the same computer that had always cookied me in before. I also didn't have the same server anymore - thus, a different email addy, so I couldn't even request my password and have it emailed to me.

Only one for me. Same user name everywhere.

Actually, the results here are consistent with an old adage that has proven itself many times in my work life - 10% of the people cause 90% of the problems.
