Another Colbert fan!! I love that show! Yes, it's true, he announced it on CNN's Larry King Live show.

He's the latest in line of funny guys who have sought the political spotlight by running for office in the past. The first comedian who sought the political spotlight was Pat Paulsen almost 40 years ago.

Here's a link to the unofficial Stephen Colbert for President 2008 site

Actually, Mr. Coooolbert may have run a foul of the law:
Colbert could run afoul of FEC - UPI.com

He's a pretty funny guy, although I do like the guy he makes fun of every night in his show

I recently discovered Steven Colbert. I heard him on NPR and watched him on LKL. He is very funny!!! It's amazing the things a character like he does can get away with saying...

I'm not sure he'd make a very good president........maybe an advisor!!

momrajum,

If you liked Stephen Colbert, check out The Daily Show with Jon Stewart, he is hilarious as well.

Stephen Colbert started out on The Daily Show playing a phony correspondent which lead to him eventually getting his own show The Colbert Report

I don't think we get the channel that Colbert's show is on. I'm sad, it's one I would probably watch. I think I've seen The Daily Show, or part of it and enjoyed what I did see!!

Unfortunately he is only running in South Carolina and will be attempting to run on both the Dem. ticket and the Rep. ticket. I enjoy both his show and the one with Jon Stewart.
