OH NO !!! This is FUN!!! You get a goody bag and put some Halloween goodies in there, candies, toys, etc, and you put a little poem in there that tells you about being BOO'D. Also, you put a ghost or something in there for them to hang up so people know they have been BOO'D, and not to "get" them again. The person who gets BOO'D then BOO's 2 other people. It's a lot of fun....kind of like the secret admirer thing.

Last year I did a search on the internet about it and found a poem. You can also do it with co-workers. It truly is a LOT of fun.

Yes my children were boo'd a couple of days ago. Instead of just booing 2 people I made up about 10 bags and we will do our booing this week. We have done this for a few years so I pick up things at 75% off after Halloween at Target to use the next year.

Our old neighborhood did this and when we moved this summer my youngest dd was worried they wouldn't do it here. I assured her if they didn't, we would start it. Then one night the doorbell rang...and we were boo'd! She was so excited!! It really is a neat idea and a lot of fun. I love hearing my girls planning their turn to boo someone.

I think this is such a neat idea! I wish I lived in a neighborhood where we could do this. How very cool!

Last year my dad got Boo'd and called me all choked up because there was a card included made by a little kid that said "Mr Scott, I like having another grandpa"

My dad is great with all the neighborhood kids.

That is really sweet....... My kids consider our neighbor's dad their "grandpa" too. Which is really nice since both sets our grandparents are in Ohio and we are in Texas.....

I haven't heard of this, this might be a nice thing to start........

We got Boo'd over the weekend. We live in Military Housing and every single window now has a Boo page so I'll Boo a couple of friends that live in town.

What a neat thing for neighbors to take part in. When you"Boo" someone, do you ring the doorbell after leaving the goodies, or just place on the porch? Also, would someone mind posting the poem that should be included?

You can do it either way. When we BOO'd the neighbor, DS rang the bell and ran. When we got BOO'd , it was just left on the front porch. Here's the poem that came with the bags I did. You can type this up and print it out on festive paper. You include a ghost or something for them to hang that says "I've been BOO'd" so others know not to "get" them again. It can also be done at work or school. It's really a lot of fun.

Here's the Poem:

THIS TREAT IS FOR YOU.
WE HOPE YOU ENJOY.
THE IDEA IS SIMPLE.
ONE WE HOPE YOU EMPLOY.
YOU PASS "BOO" ALONG TO 2
OTHER NEIGHBORS.
ALONG WITH ANY KIND OF
HALLOWEEN FAVORS.
IF WE ALL DO OUR PART,
AND SPREAD THE GOOD CHEER,
BY HALLOWEEN NIGHT IT WILL
BE VERY CLEAR.
WE'RE A FRIENDLY BUNCH.
WE LIKE TO SHARE FUN
SO PLEASE DO YOUR PART
AND KEEP "BOO" ON THE RUN!!!

It's our tradition with our kids to start it for our Neighborhood. We do it October 1st. I'd say if your neighborhood doesn't do it, start it yourself, you'll be surprised how many people really get into it.
