I want to know the official term for these, and I hope you guys get a laugh out of my description because I'm stumped.

O.k..........They're usually found outside convenience stores, new subdivisions or condo/apt. units. It's an advertising tool to attract passersby. They are hooked up to a compressor and the thing goes up and down
with arms flailing because of the forced air running thru. We have somebody at work that gets flustered very easily and I often think of him when I see these things.

What is the proper term? Googling "flailing arm thingy in front of condos" probably isn't going to get me very far.

Somehow I never thought of my coworker as a skydancer, but YES, that's it!
