Ideas For Sweet Sixteen Birthday Present...

My good friend's daughter is having a pretty formal Sweet Sixteen party this weekend...It's a masquerade party...The girl has been a friend of our family for a long time...Any ideas on what to get her besides a gift card?...How much would you spend?...Thanks! ~Lisa

How about a nice leather bound journal? Personally for a more formal party I would probably spend $50 - $60.

I would put a $50.00 bill in an envelope or give her a $50.00 Gas Card which she will appreciate really soon.

How about a cute picture frame to go along with $$?? There's so many cute frames out there now and I'm sure she has plenty of pictures. You could get one (or two) to put a photo size in. That way when she has pictures developed, she could put her favorites in them. She'd have the frame to remember you by plus the $$.

Have fun this weekend!!

Does she have a charm bracelet? If so, get a special charm.
If not, now would be a good time to start the charm bracelet tradition.

I would go with a $30-$50 giftcard, depending on how lcose of a friend she is. If she is getting a car from someone else (or bought one herself as we all used to do but you don't see much of anymore), a gas giftcard would be more useful and needed

Does she have her ears pierced .
If so, maybe a good pair of earrings?

I like the idea of something she can keep as a memory of her 16th BD

At 16 she would like the glow condoms or maybe some with glitter. GO AWAY TROLL!!!!!

I think a gas card would be great. Or maybe a gift card to Hot Topic. I do no t know a single teenage girl that doesn't like to shop there.

Maybe you should stop reading then.

OP I would do a gift card or I am not sure where the girl lives but by me there are a few of these day spas and you can get a "day of beauty " they have different packages ranging from $75-$300 the smaller one is a facial, manicure and a hair style. I got one for a teen relative last Christmas and she loved it. I like the jewlery idea. Will she be getting her license and having her own car soon? If so maybe you can do a basket with some car accessories (air freshners, window clings, etc) and put a gas card, fast food gift card and maybe a gift card for her to get her first oil change? Have a great time at the party

Ewwe....Condoms...the gift that keeps on giving.

Seriously, $50 seems like a lot of money. I would spend more like$25 but make it look like more.

I like this idea. Or we can tie her up with rope, give her a bag of candy, and use her as a pinata as DS2s b-day party.

Peeps, if you want to get rid of the trolls, stop responding to them or acknowledging their existence in any way. Any form of recognition only encourages them. But I think you all know that.

I'm always surprised by the fact that the amount of "go away troll" posts tend to outweigh any actual posts by trolls. Ignore them. When they get no attention, they go away.
