Halloween Gifts.....What do you give your kids?

Just curious what you give your kids for Halloween. I try to do Gift Cards with a favorite treat to my teens and a favorite toy such as webkinz or little pet shop for younger dd. They just get so much junk Trick or treating.

I've never given Halloween gifts to my kids - I didn't realize people did that....

DH mom always fixes a bucket of candy with a card, but we don't give them anything.

I made them up last week for my neices and nephews. Since there are 12 of them between me and my BF, we gave the older 2 (ages 12 and 15) a pail with candy and money. I found these cute little pails at Wal-Mart for $1.00 we put $10 on the bottom and topped it with candy. my youngest nephew who is only going to be 3 weeks old on Halloween got a Tow Mater pillow from Avon, my brother is doing a Cars theme for his room and the other 9 each got a bag of stuff. I got the plastic character bags from Walgreens when they were on sale (the girls got the Disney Princess and the boys got Spider man) The girls bags each had a princess puzzle, stationary set, package of stickers and a pen, slinky, and glow stick. The boys got a grow a spiderman, glow stick, slinky and spiderman puzzle. They loved them. My kids are getting money and candy

I don't give them gifts either. They get enough the rest of the year!

What she said.

I only let them have 2 pieces of candy though. Then they get 2 for snack and 2 for dessert for the next week. After that we leave the candy out for the "Candy Fairy." (Then I pick out all the ones that do not have a Halloween theme and save it for stocking stuffers.)

I don't give my kids anything either-they have way too much stuff already, and I feel the Halloween candy they get is enough of a treat. I do let them eat quite a bit (probably too much) candy on the night, but after that, we ration it. And I take a bunch of it (M&Ms, chocolate candy bars, etc.) to use in future baking. They don't mind because they will enjoy the baked goods later.

I've never heard of giving you kids anything for Halloween???

I let them trick or teat and they get to eat some of their candy. Most of it goes into our give away bowl for trick or treaters that come to our house. I normally don't allow candy so it's a special time of year

Nothing. Never heard of gifts for Halloween. They get enough candy trick or treating that they don't need anything else. LOL!!!

Nothing. We let them eat their candy... and maybe now that they are older and dont go trick or treating that maybe I am thinking about making them a little bag of goodies.

I send to my niece and nephew and I usually give my kids a Halloween t shirt or something similiar (usually gotten on target's 90% off the prev year). My neighbors spoil the kids as they are all older and give them little jewelry, socks, small toy treats, etc, so they get a butt load.

The first Halloween gift I ever gave my grandkids were Beanie Babies when they were really getting popular.
I don't think I ever gave my kids anything.
Well, I made them costumes and took them Trick or Treating.
Now we (me, DH, DD, her DH and DSs) go camping at a State Park and decorate with the other campers.
The park has a Haunted Train Ride and a Haunted Castle and Trick or Treating on Sat. night.
We pay for the campsite and the food and candy, if that counts as a gift!

Since we don't do trick-or-treating, we always buy several bags of candy that the kids like. I always order pizza for that night. Usually buy the family a movie or a TV series that they have been wanting. Spend the evening with the kids at home.
I have not given out a gift, just things for the whole family to enjoy.

No gifts here either. Gosh, don't kids get enough gifts/stuff all thru the year without turning Halloween into a gift-giving occasion, too??

I don't give my kids anything, never thought of Halloween as a gift giving time. My mom did make the girls up little gift bags with some candy, silly string, and office type supplies. My girls are strangely addicted to office supplies like me

Never have given gifts at Halloween, other than the "BOO" gifts that go out every year. Until this post I had never even heard about it, let alone considered it....
