Having served in the Army many years years ago. I can't help but find his views of our brave men and women laying down their lives for us -- each and every day -- anything but offensive.
It is not a question of being a Republican or a Democrat -- a liberal or a conservative -- for or against the war in Iraq etc. Don't we at least owe those brave men and women our thanks and not our scorn? Maybe my skin is too thin, maybe this is what passes as enlightened political commentary, maybe I'm too dumb to understand the savvy irony present in his cartoon.... Is there some point in this cartoon that I'm missing other than scorn for the protectors of our freedom?
