Simple poll. Where do you get your news?

We watch fox cause we like to get a fair and balanced reporting, not an opinionated viewpoint like some of the others.

I check my local newspaper online (it has like the top story or two of the day on ), Foxnews and sometimes the Drudge report.

I don't watch any other news channels but Fox.

I was looking for an "all the above and then some" button to choose for myself...
I, too, am an information junkie.

I poke around at the US headlines... at several sites... but I also like to read what's happening outside our borders... so I usually go to International Herald Tribune - World News, Analysis, and Global Opinions and Sky News - UK News, World News and Business News. The First for breaking global News!

I didn't vote either, since I don't limit myself to only one source. I find that gathering information from all outlets and then basing your own opinion is the best option for me.

CNN, BBC, MSNBC, FOX I hit everyday online. I read the New York Times, Chicago Trib and Wall Street - rotate throughout the week (Trib on Sunday). I also read Newsweek, Forbes, and Money.

Does Perez Hilton count, too?

Greg, you didn't put one for all of the above!

I try to get an all-around view of everything. I read our local newspaper (which is very liberal); I watch Fox News; I watch CNN and I watch our local news. The only news I won't watch is the three national nightly news stations (ABC, CBS, NBC). I turn the channel when Katie or the others come on. IMO, they're very one-sided and totally off the mark and very unreliable.

We get most of our news from the internet. I don't tend to watch any news channels. With DH heading back to Iraq I don't like the kids to see it on TV. They know the risks, they don't need constant reminders of it....

I voted but wish I hadn't . I wanted to select more than one and it won't allow me to . Then I couldn't remove the one I had selected!

I watch Local news and National news
I read the local Newspapers too. We still have a morning and evening paper here.
My home page has internet news on it.

Spoken like a seasoned military spouse! So sorry your dh is heading back again and look forward to the day that you announce he's home!

I agree that Fox is where it's at. It's pretty impossible to get "just the facts" information without any commentary at all, and unfortunately, most of the other networks disguise information to look as though it is being given with no commentary, when in fact, the picture we see is very slanted.

As an example, a news show could say that little Madeline McAnn (I don't believe I spelled that correctly) was taken from her bedroom while her parents were downstairs eating. That is 100% true. And the picture we get is of a mom and a dad in a kitchen while there is a predator in the house.

It would also be entirely factual to say that she was kidnapped when her parents went downstairs and across the street, leaving the apartment entirely unattended, while they, unaware, dined in a restaurant with friends.

One story makes them look like complete victims, the other story makes them look like parents with very poor judgment. Both stories are 100% true.

What I like about Fox is that they have more than the normal set of shows set up for debate, where neither side gets a complete pass because someone representing the other side is there to bring out the facts they believe are key.

You won't see much of that on the CBS Evening News.
