I had a group of teenagers come to my door several years ago asking for beer and alcohol. I was the only one home (DH was out with the girls) and while I was not scared, I was very uncomfortable. There were about 6 of them - boys & girls - and one girl is up too close and asked if I had any beer. When I said no, she asked if I had any other alochol. I said no, she asked if I had anything else to drink. I laughed and said no. A few days later a group of teenagers (never found out if it was the same ones or not) set off firecrackers on my front porch at about 4 in the afternoon. My kids were little at the time - and we didn't really know any teenagers, I never found out if it was revenge for not giving them beer or a case of mistaken identity. Lisa

Last Halloween the kids and I came home after trick or treating to find a bat, yes, a real bat hanging from our dining room ceiling! EWW!! I grabbed the kids, the dog after taking a closer look and closed the kitchen door! Called my DH on his cell and he said "huh, I wonder how that got into the house". He thought I was playing a joke on him being Halloween and all! He came home and was completely speechless! Never saw one before in my life and hope I never see another one, especially in my house! It made horrible noises while hubby was trying to get it out of the house! YUCK! I told him if I come home to another bat in the house we are moving! LOL Last edited by kad3; 10-30-2007 at 09:15 AM. There was just a story about a lot of bats flying around in a dorm. The kids were swating them with brooms and other things. Those kids ended up needing to get rabies shots. Scary! |

He,he, he, we live next to the river and have 15-20 bats a year find their way into the house. We used to get them with tennis raquets. Now we use a fishing dip net and set them free outside. We had trick or treat this past sunday afternoon in our town. There was a rather larger 30 something man dressed in a baby diaper with a huge pacifier, and his daughter who he was taking trick or treating was dressed as mary poppins. I thought that was totally creepy on so many levels. |
