I decorated last night. The inside of my apartment is all decorated for Christmas all that I have left is to put up the tree and put the ligjhts in the windows My BF wants to get a real tree or my tree would have been up too I know its early but I always had a Christmas tree up and the house decorated for my birthday (which is in 2 weeks)

Depends on the weather. If it looks like it's going to be nice the weekend after Thanksgiving, then we do it then. If it's going to snow (or snow already on ground), we do it the week before Thanksgiving. That would be for outdoor stuff like the lights, etc. For indoor stuff, it's the weekend or week after Thanksgiving. Personally (and no offense to OP), I don't like decorations or displays more than a month ahead of ANY holiday. I saw people with xmas decorations last night TOTing....

we'll start putting up our outside lights soon, but as far as other decorations (inside and out) we wait until after thanksgiving... if we're out of town (like we will be this year) then the following weekend....

Wow, a little early for that. I am adamant about not decorating for Christmas until after Thanksgiving. Could be the day after, but not until it's over. We celebrate one holiday at a time.

We always decorate the weekend after Thanksgiving, for Christmas. Plus I love fall decorations, I would hate putting them away before their time is up. However, I will start looking for new ornaments and Christmas decorations now, just will wait to put them up.

Last night there was a house that had Christmas lights up already and turned on, my son instead of saying trick or treat to them informed them that Christmas wasn't until December. The lady looked embarrassed, I felt bad but kids will tell you like it is.

Oh, gosh...I don't even want to think about Christmas decorating right now. LOL! I just made it through Halloween and have Thanksgiving coming up...whew. I'm exhausted just thinking about it all.

We do not decorate until after Thanksgiving. Outside decor usually starts going up that weekend. The inside and tree don't go up until a week or more later.

We will have to use the next week to take down Halloween (we do the whole graveyard thing~so it takes a bit). We will decorate for Thanksgiving using Fall covers in the house until the weekend after.

We decorate the weekend after Thanksgiving and take it down usually a day or two after Christmas. We try to wait until New Years, but I am always tired of dusting it and looking at it after a month, so we never make it to New Years!

We will probably put up the outside lights any day now since the weather is decent. We won't turn them on till after T-day tho.
I am going to start cleaning our upstairs rooms this week and as each one gets cleaned, it will get decorated. Again, won't turn on any lights till after T-day.
The downstairs will get decorated next, whenever I can get to it, again going to clean good first.
I love Christmas and all of the decorating so this will be my inspiration to clean my house!!!

Our Christmas decorations go up the day after Thanksgiving, or that weekend. And they come down about a week after Christmas.

My outside decorations will go up sometime in the next week since I do it all myself and prefer to have it a little warmer while I'm out there. I won't light them up for a couple weeks though. My tree will go up next Sunday the 11th. The only reason I'm waiting that long is because that's my DS's 18 birthday so I'll wait until after his party. I LOVE Christmas so I like getting it all up early. I'll keep it up until after New Years.

The weekend after Thanksgiving BUT I don't have outside lights. I would be tempted to put those bad boys up now and not turn them on.

We put up our Christmas decorations up the weekend of Thanksgiving.

I was amazed to see houses already decorated on 10/31 while I took the kids trick or treating. Even my dds were shocked to see Christmas decorations up already.

We will put our outside decorations up in the next two weeks but they do not get turned on until the night after Thanksgiving. The day after Thanksgiving used to be Tree day, a holiday that we made up when my hubby was in the Navy and always missed Turkey day, but we have a lot of company every year now, so we dont do the tree until they are gone.

I dont like to put the decorations up too early because I do not want to get sick of seeing them and want to rip them down the day after xmas.

After Thanksgiving and it all comes down two days after Christmas. I get tired of seeing the same thing and the house just seems "junked up". But I can't wait til my neighbors put their stuff up. I have been looking out the window at Halloween decorations since Sept. 1.

I put mine up the day after Thanksgiving. Last year, I had one tree up the week before. My DS had been sick and he wanted to put it up so we did.

I put the one up in the room you cant see from the outside. We put up the rest after Thanksgiving.

I would like to put up the outside lights this weekend, but we still have a lot of leaves on the trees and on the ground and it makes it hard to rake with all the cords.

I decorate for every Holiday. fall has got to be my favorite. front porch has scarecrows .pumkins. floral wreaths.
and decor to match. large garden flags. metal fall yard stakes in yard with metal pumpkins. large fall wrought iron
fall leaf deor. on side of house. I go all out. i don't do halloween anymore so my fall decorations start the day of fall
and chande my door wreath out to turkey wreath and add some turkey decor. such as a large garden flag with a turkey sitting on a pumpkin which says eat more ham. i buy alot of decor. by alot from joanns and hobby lobby. after the
holidays. my neighbors always tell me we know what holiday is arriving by your house.
its all alot of fun. i have a big storage shead to store it all in the rubber containers.
after thanksgiving christmas go up. happy hoildays to all.

The boys and I start pulling out boxes the Friday after Thanksgiving. We do the bulk of the decorating that Saturday and Sunday.

Although, I'm thinking about having DS put up the outside lights Monday or Tuesday because it will be so unseasonably warm. Normally, our fingers are freezing by the time we are done.

I put my tree up today, I have a few *Fall* Thanksgiving stuff up also now*.. This is the 1st time in my life I have personally did my Christmas Tree before Thanksgiving. As a child tho, My Aunt always hosted the Thanksgiving Dinner ( God Rest her soul ) and She always had the Tree up then. It was one of my FAVORITE Things to see when we had Thanksgiving Dinner there.. I wanted to do it this year because I'm still missing the Thanksgiving times with her some 20 years later.

I don't know know when I'll get it up. I'm babysitting a 13 and 27 month old, so I'm not sure how it's going to work this year with the tree. I always waited late to put it up when my kids were that size so we didn't have too many mishaps. My DD doesn't want the tree up for her birthday this year, either. I think she's out of luck, since her bday is 12-23. I'm not waiting *that* long to put it up! LOL

I get really tired of all the Christmas decorations so they do not go up too early and this year the kid's schedules are so crazy that I am not sure when we will do it. the weekend after thanksgiving is booked solid - so maybe december 8. I am really thinking that less is more will be the theme for this year and may forget all together about outside stuff. we usually have it up by now and just not turned on - and once we do turn it on half the time we forget anyway.
