On this tape, Chapman ADMITS that he freely uses the "n" word -- and actually "worries" about getting "caught" using the "n" word and "losing everything". That makes him a racist jerk

The fact that he "says" the reason he doesn't like the girlfiend isn't because she's black doesn't negate the fact that he freely uses the "n" word, does it?

I totally agree with you! I've always felt that Dog and his "crew" were not the fine upstanding people that they want the public to believe. For example--they have repeatedly said they don't carry guns because they don't believe in deadly force....Ummmm, I don't think so! Dog Chapman can't carry a firearm because he is a convicted felony!

I dont really know how to say what I want to say. I have typed some things... just to erase them again.

I guess what it comes down to for me is that it is just a word. It isnt a nice word but it is just a word. I dont think that people should lose there jobs over it, but if that is how it is going to be then all the rappersand movie producers that use the word need to either lose their jobs too or be forced to stop using the word.

If the world is suppose to be color blind and equal to everyone then the use of this word either needs to be universally banned or universally ok'd.

Almost half of my siblings are black, and it has never been ok for anyone in the house to use that word.

Having lived in Hawaii myself, you have to understand the culture there. The "n" word is not used there like it is on the mainland. If you do some research into this you will see that. They have "coconut niggers" "pineapple niggers",etc. I listened to the tape....it is difficult for me to follow, but, from what I am getting, Dog's son is going out with some sleeze ball who is looking to get revenge on Dog's wife, and KNOWS how the "n" word is used on the island and knows how people on the Mainland feel about the "n" word, and is looking to use this against Dog. So, Dog does not want to chance that. I don't see it as a matter of him thinking it is a taboo word. Believe me, it is like a whole different world when you live there, a whole different country.

Does anyone here take offense to the word "Haiwle" (sp??)??

I don't watch or follow Dog, have no opinion of him, really. But, I do think this whole thing was taken out of context due to cultural differences.

AIA--I did not realize that about Hawaii vs. mainland. So, given that it may be taken out of context (and I do think a lot of times things are taken out of context to make someone look better/worse than they really are), they whole thing has probably been blown out of proportion.

I still thing Dog and his TV family are hypocrits, but it's nothing related to this "scandal"!

I like the show, and I like Dog. However, the only thing that I don't get is how they say they are Christian and the prayers before they go get someone and love God, etc and then turn around and use that language (not the n word, I mean the GD's and the F's and all that). I agree they are hypocrites.

I think the problem is that he presents himself one way, but in real life is acting another way. Never a good idea. I don't care where you live, that word needs to be out of your vocabulary. It is wrong to use it. I, too, have been bother by his swearing but yet professing to be such a deep Christian. I agree with TNhottie in the above posting.

That word should not be use from NO race,I don't care how you put it...

The only people who I ever hear use the N-word are blacks. I think it would go a long ways towards elminating the use of the word if blacks stopped using it, period. Otherwise it is a license for others to use it.

Just my opinion, take it or leave it.

I agree. As it is now, there seems to be a double standard.

It doesnt surprise me that Dog and his family are one way on the TV and then another way in real life. He is getting paid to produce an image of a family that the studios think will keep bringing in money. Also, I am sure that things are directed and scripted to some extent.

I just think the whole thing is sad.
