Question Does anyone have the website where

you can check the sale history of a house. I thought I bookmarked it.

I would greatly appreciate any help.

Thanks,
Judi

try Zillow - Real Estate Valuations, Homes for Sale, Free Real Estate Information Not sure if it is exactly what you are looking for. If not, try looking for the tax appraiser on line for the area you are trying to search.

HTH.

Thanks so much for responding so quickly. However, this is not the site I was thinking of. There is a site where you can see the house's history. Who was the original owner and how much they paid. It will tell you subsequent sales and the price it went for.

Anyone know what I'm talking about?

TIA,
Judi

I didn't know they had something like this available. If you find out what it was, would you post it for me? Thanks.

I believe that would be the county website for your particular county and then go to the 'county recorder's' link???

For our county, you can look up by: owner's name, address, parcel number, and/or subdivision.

You can look up the most recent transaction history but not any further back then that but I am sure that if you contact the County Recorder, they will share that information (fee and paperwork might be involved).

Cuthie is right, your local property appraiser's office should have this information. Ours has a web site where you can put in either the owner's name or the property address.
