MY DD is almost 12 and will still play with dolls depending on the situation. Some of her friends are past that stage and she does not play with dolls with them around. If she is with some of our friends younger girls 9 and 10, then she pulls out the barbies and polly pockets and has a blast. She will also spend hours and hours making dresses out of old fabric for her American Girl Doll.

I loved Barbies as a kid and spent many hours playing with them. I have bought DD many of them over the years. The dolls end up just being given away. One of the most fun days I've had was at the American Girl store in NYC with my sister, mom, and DD. Guess who had the most fun - my sister and me!

My 9 and 11 year old dd don't play with dolls. Very sad, they too have the American Girl dolls and Bitty baby and had many Bratz and Barbies. I gave away the Bratz and Barbies but couldn't give away the American Girl dolls (I just love these dolls and would have killed to have one when I was little). My 9 will pllay with My Littles Pet shop and also she will play with Playmobils with her brother. |

My DD is almost 12 and still plays with dolls. She play with her American Girl dolls and not so much Barbie and Bratz anymore. There are no Barbie or Bratz on her Christmas list this year either. I myself love dolls and collect Madame Alexander dolls. My 22 year old requested an exact replacement of a 1985 Madame Alexander doll this year for her birthday that she got when she was about 3. I let her play with the original and she still has it, but it is ragged. So I had to hunt one down on Ebay for her birthday this last summer, she was thrilled! LOL. She collects Barbies.

My sister played with her Barbies until she was 13 - we joke and say she went directly from dolls to boys. I never did play with dolls as a child - could be because my closest sibling was a brother - the next youngest sibling was 5 years younger.

My 11 yo DD loves to play with her barbies. She takes over the livingroom and would rather just be left alone with her imagination. It is so good for her. She just could go for hours. She is home with bronchitis today and is very happy just playing by herself.
