Birthday gift(s) question..help

My son has been invited to a birthday party for a set of triplets. One of the boys is in his class and he only knows the other two from seeing them at recess when they speak to their brother. My question is since the party is for all 3 of the boys do I need to send 3 gifts or only one gift to the brother that invited him?

"need" to?? I would say no. "should" you ??? I would say yes, as it would be a courteous thing to do. Maybe a little goody bag with a few small things in it for the other two?? What age are they??

The boys are turning 10. I have no idea what kind of things they are into because I dont really know the kids. I thought about getting one gift that they can all use or I may just try to find some kind of handheld games.

the more I think about this, I would say just get the boy that invited your DS. The other two will surely have friends there as well, right???

By ten years old, they should "know the drill". The boy who invited your DS may even appreciated the other two not being recognized by everyone. I don't mean that in a mean way at all. Several sets of twins in the family, here, and it gets frustrating always being lumped together.

If you still feel inclined to get the other two, I would get an inexpensive Lego set or Nerf set.

I would try to find out who is invited and then ask their moms what they are going to do. I would be inclined to only buy one gift.

I think if I was in your same situation I would like to say that I would just buy for the boy I knew but I would probably end up buying something small for the other two like $5 gift cards to McDonalds or some place like that. I think either way it will be fine.

Maybe a gift they can share like a DVD and popcorn and movie candy? You could get an older movie so it would be new to all of them...like Back to the Future, Ghostbuster, Clockstoppers....

Thank you everyone for your replies I ended up buying a board game for each boy since I found them on sale for $10 each. I usually spend $15- $20 on classmates gifts but I dont feel bad for having spent less because they can all play the 3 games.
