I am #2 of 6. DH is #1 of 2. We have 2 kids of our own and are adopting a 2 year old.

Dh and I are both the oldest of 2. We have 3 children

I am the middle child of 3. Dh is the oldest of 2 and we have 3. Of course my younger brother is 9years younger than me. My middle brother has a different father than my older brother and I. My youngest ds is 6yrs younger than his brother but they all have the same daddy. By the way, none of my children are oops babies. All were planned. I was the only one planned out of my 2 brothers

I have no idea. I posted during a major hiccup this morning. It double posted. Plus I can't see my original thread OR delete anything.

I was just thinking about this (kind of) the other day. Exactly what I was thinking of was birth order, siblings, and the amount of children you ended up having.

For Example :

DH is the oldest of 4 siblings.
I am also the oldest of 4 siblings.
We only have 1 child (by choice).

I was curious to see if birth order and the amount of siblings has anything to do with the amount of children that people ended up having. If that makes sense.... Like the oldest of a family ended up having less (or more) kids than they had siblings. Or only children ended up having more kids than they had siblings (or no kids at all).

Dh is right in the middle of 17.
We have 2 together and I have 1 SD.


I would love to have about 6 but I don't have the nerves or money to raise them. So we had no choice but stop at 2.

I was middle of three (G, G, B). My DH is the middle of three (B, B, G). Therefore we only have two. I did not want my youngest to end up as a middle child of the same sex as the older one, if that makes any sense. It is not a good spot to be in. Too hard on the self esteem.

I am an only adopted child we have four kids all boys, lost one girl 20 weeks into pregnancy. We have two foster daughters we helped raise who we consider our own and the consider us their parents and they recently blessed us with the Granddaughters.

By my birth-mom I have a half-brother who is floating around Springfield Il somewhere, that we are trying to find.

DH is the oldest, he has a Half-brother and Half-sister from his father, and his mom re-married and he has a half-brother and sister from that marriage and he doesnt claim any of them anymore. Long story. So he tells people he is an orphan now and he truly is in more ways than one.

Number 1 of two... My sister is 3 years younger. Two sons, one a freshman at Kent State the other a junior at Pitt (university of Pittsburgh). My gosh they grow up fast. I can still remember buying the video camera to tape our oldest son's first trip to school. Geesh, now he is 21 and wow do I feel old.
