the flashy ads between posts are ANNOYING, just like haveing to watch some commercial to something you'll never use in a lifetime before you actually see the news video you clicked to see in the first place. Stop changing stff, the colors are icky looking too

The default font size and colors (contrast) don't seem particularly friendly to older eyes....

You look at it too long and you start to get a headache........ Wonder why they went with the brighter colors?

I don't like it one bit.
I don't like that Bright color, especially when I have to get within 3 inches of the screen to read the small print. They tried this small print bullcrap before and everyone had to complain to get them to put it back where it was readable. Here we go again. I would think they would remember that. I'm old and forgetful, but I remember.
If they really want to improve things, they could make things move faster. I visit a vast number of web sites and this one is the very SLOWEST.
I don't like the adds either, but I do understand the need for them.

I don't like it either... And the ads suck. Can we pay a fee and not have them like other sites?

We went with colors that match the rest of the site. The goal was to make the boards look like the rest of mycoupons.com. Dolly, I love you

The goal is that the ads be meaningful and if so and you click great! If they don't matter then just ignore them. I will be testing and tweaking all weekend. I don't want to annoy you but I do want you to see things you may actually want to check out. It's a balance and I'm sure we don't have it quite right yet.

I like the new look.
I don't care for the ads though and scroll past them.
Load time is terribly slow.

Greg,
My biggest concern is that every time there are drastic changes made here on MC we seem to lose more members.

This used to be a VERY active site.

As far as the colors. I always kept mine set to the blue color. It just wasn't this bright.

Will the tiny type get larger?

thanks, Shirley

flashing ads all over my screen will get me not to click, ads popping up on my screen at other sites will not get me to click them as well. there's parts of the forums for coupons and sales deals but this is the "hang out room" where we talk about families and home/job. if I needed to find a coupon for something i know where to go to look first not flashing on my screen and makeing the whole board run slower Sorry.

and we went through the pay membership before that was the days of the clover wars and that also ran people off

Count me in as one that hates this change also. I don't normally post too much on here as far as my opinion is concerned, but I hate the ads in the middle of the posts !!! They are not helpful to me in anyway. Why not put the ads at the bottom of the screen or maybe a few at the top and a few at the bottom, but not in the middle of the posts.

Sorry, just my 2¢.

I liked it better when we could set it on the colors we liked. I can't stand this blue and green but I will live with it if I have too

I don't like the ads.

I don't know why I am complaining. Hey could we have a Christmas theme????

Ok people will probably shoot me for that one but come on let's get in the spirit.

These changes don't seem incredibly drastic... I think that we can all understand the need to pay the bills.

I too miss the day when a user could set up their personal board colors in their Control Panel. I chose Martha Stewart! LOL.

The weekend tweaking is appreciated Greg.

Personally, I think the site looks more professional. I like the colors, and I didn't notice anything about the font getting smaller. I'm no spring chicken, and I can read the font just fine. As far as the ads go, I think it's a reality in life. Like someone else said, someone has to pay for us to be here. If you don't like the ads, don't read them. I just *tune them out* usually. Who knows? Maybe one will catch your eye, and you'll find something good!

Thumbs down ok

My only 2 complaints is the TINY font. I have good eyes, but I am struggling to see this.
AND I hate the load time. The load time is incredibly s l o w . And I have high speed internet.

I hope these are tweaked cause as it stands, I wont be able to use the board.

Not worried about the ads, but the background shows up as a pale, browny-purple on my laptop, sort of like a mushroom, and it looks odd with the brown-green and turquoise. I like browsing through coupon codes, but the colour combination is distracting. Sort of like a room that was last redecorated in 1979. minus the lampshades, plus hypertext.

Cuthie,
I didn't realize that we couldn't change the colors anymore. I had always chosen the Blue color and that never changed for me . So I never checked to try to change it.
I guess when they took away the choices they kept it blue. LOL.

My type size seems bigger today.
THANK YOU!

All sites earn money from people clicking on the ads. They need to have them where we see them.

I don't mind the changes - I always adjust, what I don't like is how much slower it is.

It's fine with me. I don't see the bright colors some are talking about. I see the greens and blues but to me they're not that bright. I can scroll past a few ads in a second. That doesn't bother me either. I do notice it seems to be slower, though. Wish that could be fixed.

Either I am already used to the ads, or they were sized down a bit. Seems like initially that they were larger than the posts surrounding them.

The colors of the headings don't bother me, in fact I like the green and turquoise....cheerful. It's the font size and the black on grey that is hard on my eyes.

The load time is really annoying - especially when it seems like everything is there, yet I can't pull the scroll bar.

I also think there's something wrong with the edit function.

Am I the only one having to scroll sideways to see the whole page?
I checked under user CP and I don't see any way to adjust the page size. I'm already on linear and don't really see where changing that would help as another poster suggested??

Still incredibly slowwwwww.............

I couldn't get it to save and had to press the edit button again, already within the edit screen. I'll try "Go Advanced" next time - thanks!

Colors are too bright. It's hard on the eyes.

The colors are kind of garrish. They don't go together.

Mine's on linear and it's just fine. If I switch to either of the other modes, I have to scroll sideways.

the new ads stink. It slows the load time down. The colors haven't changed for me but I'm using firefox instead of IE so maybe that's it? I know firefox and IE used to load MC in two different color formats

The ads wouldn't be so bad except many are big and blinking...annoying for any eye (not just the old). I understand the need to pay bills BUT annoying changes (as this), cause members to leave, not purchase thru click thru links. My opinion of coarse but I've been around while...

I don't mind the colors too much. BUT, I don't like the ads all over, and the site does seem much slower to load - & I have High Speed Internet.

Oh Well - I am sure I will get used to the change - just like I do every other time something has changed on here!
