Is anyone from MC around to tell us what is going on? The load times are awful as are the blinking ads. I know ya have to make a buck, but do they have to flash??

I don't see any flashing ads and my computer is always slow so I'm OK with the change.

The ads SUCK!! If I wanted to read about all that stuff.. I'd just google it or look on the proper boards. I hate having to sift through to get to what I want to read. Please change it back!!!!!

the ads don't bother me so much, but I just don't understand why it takes so long to load the boards - I usually just give up and leave the site - can an admin. please explain if this is temporary / why these boards are running so slow?

Greg said they were going to be tweaking all weekend....what I can't figure out why no has answered to why the boards are so slow....is it because they were working on them, or is it because of the ads that have to load along with the threads?

The ads are no big deal to me it's the speed, or lack there of! Granted, the ads may be slowing down the site, too! No matter--this site is waaaaaaaaaaaaay to stinkin' slooooooooooooow!

It doesn't seem to be running slow for me and I don't see any flashing ads, but NOW the font is so small I can barely read it.

Site loads quick for me but I am on a T1 line at work. With the addition of ads I will be looking for other boards. Not happy with this change.

We are working on the speed issue. We dropped some of the ads over the weekend and are looking at ways to get things running quickly again.

The site loads faster now then it did last week but I hate the color. Its too bright and hurts my eyes. The font is too small for the white too. I am glad I have other boards I go to

thanks for the message Greg. Ads this morning are still too many for my taste and load time is still slow on high speed. I can't imagine being on dial up. Until things are "fixed" and *back to normal*, you wont' be seeing me around here nearly as much. I just don't have the time or the patience to deal with it

The ads I can bypass. But I will not go blind trying to read this font, nor will I speed all day trying to read a thread. So, if anyone needs me, feel free to email me. I will be looking for somewhere else to chat. If anyone finds a good place, let me know.

my load time seems to be the same as it always was, the ads don't flash - they just sit there, and the color is a calming almond with a teal blue accent - not bright at all. Oh... and my font size hasn't changed either.

I am on a Mac with Safari and am getting NO ads---one of the many benefits of Mac/Safari. I like the color too!


P.S. I really like MC and get lots of great deals here! But, I would love to get information on other boards that I can get more information and forums from is anyone wants to include me in their pm of the other sites to visit. TIA!

I see an almond color and teal... ads are annoying but we ALL need to remember that this is a free site and they have to keep it running by having ads. Deal with it or don't let the door hit ya where the good Lord split ya~
