How many Christmas Cards do you usually give?

And when do you send them.....

This year DH and I decided we are sending each member of his Troop an individual Christmas Card, and sending a seperate one to their family members here...That alone comes out to 327 cards....I'm thinking of sending the cards to the Troops in a box with candy canes and having DH pass them out....but I'm not sure when I should mail them....Thinking I might want to go ahead and get them done this weekend....We usually do cards for the family too, but this year each set of parents may get a card and that might be it...

How many do you send out a year?

Varies, but around 30-35 cards. I know so many people that do not send cards even if sent one. I enjoy sending them out, but also enjoy receiving them! I do not send them out until around mid-Dec.

We do about 50 for our business and about 75 for family and friends.

I send them out the day before Thanksgiving!

Less than 25. We always try to do some sort of photo on the front or inside the card. People really seem to enjoy the photos.

50-75 most years. I would like to do a photo this year too, but with our family so separated, it might be difficult!! maybe a collage, if I could pull it off.

Anyway, I love getting Christmas cards and hearing from ppl you don't normally hear from!

I usually send out anywhere from 50 - 75 (I make my own) depending on the year and if I join any card swaps. The majority of the time they are in the mail by the 10th of December.

Usually about 75 or so. It was more, but we started cutting back on non family who don't send them to us anymore. We usually do photo cards, that saves me from writing them all out and we get them done as soon as I get a good picture of the kids.

I'd say about 30-40. We also do the picture ones, people seem to get a kick out of them. It doesn't seem like as many folks send them these days. I enjoy sending them though.

We do not send/give a single Christmas card.

With postage at $.41 a card, we would much rather give all that money to the Salvation Army and Toys for Tots

It makes me crazy to hear someone say that they "can't afford" to donate to the Salvation Army (or Toys for Tots or whatever) yet they can "afford" to send out expensive designer Christmas cards

When I was working, I started a tradition at my company that instead of exchanging Christmas cards, we collected the money and donated it to the Salvation Army every year. We were always able to make a very sizable donation.
