Talking Jon Bon Jovi for future NJ Governor..

'Jersey Boy' Sets Sights On Governing Garden State One Day
Report: Rocker Bon Jovi Plans A Run For NJ Governor, In Future

BY ANDREW RAMOS

November 14, 2007

He's no stranger to political fundraisers, performing for Democrats like Al Gore and John Kerry, but Jon Bon Jovi may soon just headline his own. According to a report, the 'Jersey Boy' could be planning a run for governor of his home state of New Jersey. Rumors of a gubernatorial run ran rampant after Bon Jovi hired Public Relations guru Ken Sunshine, the former chief of staff for ex-New York City Mayor David Dinkins. Others also noted how the rocker has maintained his residency in the Garden State with a home in Redbank.

"Jon has been approached many times about running for office," said Sunshine, who denies the musician has any political plans for the future.

So what do you think of a Bon Jovi Garden State takeover? Do you think it's a smart move for the rocker, or will he just give Jersey a bad name?

I saw this on the news last night and also online in the website for the news. Personally, I think he would do great Too bad he couldn't get into office now, I do not like the gov we are stuck with, but this post isn't about him. Its about Jon Bon Jovi so what are your thoughts and would you vote for him? I personally would vote for him

Heck I would move to NJ just to vote for my JBJ !!!

He is a awesome person, he does so much for charities through not just the band, but through his AFL Team the Philly Soul, he is always so nonchalant about it he would do great in Politics.

I met him in 1996 when I was working for Pat Buchanan on his Presidential Campaign and I told Jon I maybe a staunch republican, and you are Democrat its the only fault I see in you and he just laughed and I know he would be terriific addition to any state as Governor or even a senator he is always about the giving not the receiving. I so miss the Christmas Shows , they were always for various local charities, but got the memories of that final show in 1996 and the guitar pick he tossed at me that bounced of my chest and whiel trying to find it I flashed Jon the whole second row and 2rd row behind me.

If he runs let me know I will relocate to NJ its on my top 5 list of places to move to !

I don't think it can get much worse than it is already in this state. I think I'd vote for him, he'd be doing it because he cares, not for the fame, money or power, he already has all of those things.
