I can't think of anything good either! I did just order him a subscription to a motorcycle magazine and I have been picking up little stocking stuffers but nothing really great yet. I was thinking about a heater for the garage, but I would love some good ideas!

A heater for the garage is a wonderful idea!
But, we are saving money for our trip to California in February.
We have to go for a meeting but want to make vacation out of it too.
We live in Kentucky so it is quite a trip and we are going to drive.
But a heater for the garage is mighty tempting!!!

I am doing the usual - cologne, clothes, and stuff like that. I need something original tho. I give my man the same items every year. I try and try to think of something unique, but it never happens. LOL!

My sweetie and I don't do gifts on holidays or birthdays, but he just upgraded his GPS and has been singing, "Merry Christmas to me". I am about to up grade my personal media player so I will be singing it next.

I got DH a heater for the garage a few years ago and he really likes it (I do too)!! Another thing I got him a few years ago was an air compressor and that's great for filling tires and there's all kinds of attachments for power nailing and stuff like that if your DH is a handyman. This year he's hinted about a rack for holding firewood (but now I don't remember what it was he wanted, so I'll have try to think of a way to get him to tell more about it without being too obvious). And I thought I'd try to get him a snowblower cab so he could stay a little warmer and dryer when he's doing the snow.

(Although, we've also talked about just buying big screen HD TV for ourselves as a gift this year.)

I just did my black friday shopping (online!) and got him seasons 1 - 4 of Monk for only $55! that's SOOO cheap compared to normal prices. Free shipping too. Now I'm done w/ all my xmas shopping.

I got my hubby cold weather running gear. He's an avid runner, but doesn't have the appropriate stuff to keep him nice and toasty, now he will.

Dh is getting an a Fender Guitar......I already have someone set up to give him lessons....He was determined to come back from Iraq with a skill he didnt' have when he left.....My oldest DD is getting one to, and will be taking lessons, and they are going to set up challenges with each song they work on.....Always try to do something that keeps him as involved in the kids lives as possible..

The radio in DH's car has been out for a while. I am going to go see how much it would cost to fix or put in a new system. The only thing that scares me, is that it is a 1994 Isuzu Trooper w/ over 250K miles. Knowing my luck, once the radio is repaired, the rest of the car will die....

Hmm...the plan is for us to get each other nothing. Money is extremely tight and there really isn't anything we need. We buy ourselves things we want throughout the year...I'm sure I'll come up with something, though. It's nice to have something to open on Christmas morning, even if it isn't much. I always do his stocking, too...so there is that.

DH usually gets what he wants when he wants it (budget allowing, or course) so it's hard to get him something he wants/needs.

I think this year I'm going to get him a box of golf balls he keeps talking about - $72 for a box of 12 balls...can you believe it!!!!!!

My DH's birthday is December 30 and he already had everything. I have no idea what to get him. He asked for dress pants and belts and that's it. He doesn't have time to watch TV/DVDs or play video games, doesn't like pro sports, already has every power tool known to man (seriously, but he does use them). His hobbies are woking out and fish tanks. He just placed a big order for fish tank stuff, so I am really at a loss.

I gave him a dvd/camcorder from the black friday deal at sears.. gave me $50 off, cause the box had been opened. He got it early to make sure everything worked last night.

But the Telescope is hidden away. I got it at Sam's Club and you type in a # and it adjust to the setting to see different stars.

I don't know for sure yet, but I'm thinking about a nice leather coat. He mentioned a while back that he'd like one. He has a bomber-style leather coat, but not a nice one to wear when we're dressed up.

A new laptop that I already had him open and test because it has a $200 rebate that is time sensitive... Also getting him a custom made cribbage board made by my nephew and a subscription to his favorite guitar magazine.

Dh and I are only exchanging small gifts this year since we had to buy so many big ticket items lately. I picked up a John Deer hoodie and a 2lb bag of sour patch kids for him on black friday. That will probably be it from me with the exception of stocking stuffers. The boys will most likely get him jeans, some kind of dvd and gold balls

My Dh is getting some bluetooth Motorola headphones and an Ipod touch.

He's "hinted" at these for 2 months now, lol. It makes it easy to know what to get him. Even though we've been married 15 years and together for 20, I like the hints. Makes it easy to buy for him.

I bought one of those brown Zunes that were on sale a while back. I am in the process of borrowing CDs from all my friends to load on to it. (I wish I could figure out how to print the list of artists and albums). Linnebop- we retro-fitted a new car radio in our '79 CRX a while back. If the car dies you can take the radio out and install it somewhere else. I am sure we paid less than $100.

dh bought himself one of those 79 zunes at toysrus black friday. So, I bought him a set of universal speakers from walgreens (most I have seen only work on ipods, was happy to see a universal set).

I have no idea what else to get him. Was thinking about giving him the money for that new rock game (the 200 one), and letting him choose if he wanted that, or something else.

Dh doesn't really want anything right now. He leaves for Iraq a few days after Christmas. I guess I am off the hook this year. He will probably get a plasma tv when he gets back. It is about time to get rid of the old tv in the living room!

3 thick canvas like shirts, green, red, dark beige ,free from Redcats promo
3 black thermal underwear shirts I got free from Redcats promo
1 nice flannel shirt that I bought for my son but after seeing how fat he has got this Thanksgiving it will be going to bf as my son is now a XXXL !
1 Sears Craftmans lined shirt jacket bought at Sears
Tons of socks free from Redcats

His birthday is in December too,so some of the gifts will probably go to his birthday.

Okay finally others who do the same as we do. The girls here at work were beginning to make me feel paranoid. My dh and I don't do gifts either - not for birthdays, our anniversary, Christmas, Valentine's Day - BUT we do get stuff throughout the year without feeling guilty. Not necessarily for each other - we each buy what we want when we want for ourselves. It works for us and that way when he upgrades the computer or the digital camera, I buy clothes without feeling guilty. His toys are a LOT more expensive than what I spend on clothes. Glad to hear someone else does this too.

We don't exchange too much between ourselves. We just bought a new 19 inch tv for our bedroom Black friday. We redecorated the room, so we are spending more time in there, it is so nice now.
I just saw on another board that the Band of Brothers HBO series is on sale at Amazon w/free shipping approx $26. Everyone is raving about that show, and my DH loves history and war movies, so I decided to order it for him. Also an Itune card.

Mrs MC Prez is going to let me pick out a new grill. Since I love to cook a new grill is a great gift. One year she got me a great set of poker chips with my initials on them (very handy when sorting out chips at a friends house) so if you husband plays poker, chips are an awesome gift.

So far the kids and I have gotten him a:
Wall mounted air compressor
foot massager
shower head ( he has been wanting this certain one and everytime we got to get it, it is sold out. I finally found it)

And I will still get him some jeans, (he has lost a lot of weight lately and only has 1 pair that fits him)
and a Placket type shirt with the kids school name on it to wear to son's ball games.

Plus some stocking stuffers

Where did she get the initialized poker chips...? Possibly no longer remembered but thought it was worth asking. My brother is huge into poker parties and so this would be a great gift for him. Thanks.
