We left home at 5 and went to Staples. The line was already quite long and it was bitter cold and windy . I wanted to get a laptop for my birthday, but it wasn't meant to be. They had about 15. We got a Tom-Tom for DD and a hard drive for DH. After Staples, we went to Office Depot, where the person in front of me took the last laptop . Got a 4 gig memory card and could have gotten everything we got at Staples. On to Micheal's - they had squat! A 25% off anything is not good if the sales stink and you can get 40% in every Sunday paper. After that I wanted to get 2 kashmere sweaters at Delk for my Mom - they were so short, her belly would have shown for sure!!! And now for the best part - we were home by 7:30 and I took a 3 hour nap .

One of my ds and I were out of the house a 4am. Went to wally world and to Radio Shack. Radio Shack didn't have the scan disk mp3 player so back to wally world for the Rca mp3 player. Met hubby for breakfast and was home by 7:30 to call the plumber. Our 2 toilets and tubs are backed up. Found this out at 3:30am when we went to take fast showers to wake up. Hope the plumber will be here by 2pm.
The joys of home ownership.
Judy.

I am jealous that you got the TomTom at Best Buy! They were all sold out here, and also the Garmin c330 at Wal-Mart and the Magellan at Target. I ordered online from Circuit City when I got home which I could have done beforehand and saved the trip.

I took a half day and came into work at 1. I usually go shopping but this year I slept in and on my way to work I stopped at Target to get a dvd (the Notebook) I have no idea why our govorner didn't grant us the day off like all the prior goveornors. There are 25 people (out of 107) here today. I was told that other local state offices in our area are just as deserted, so for the 8 hours we are here (lets say 9 for those who showed up a little early) he is paying for the electric and heat just to turn it off for the next two days. Makes no sense to me, but then again I think he is just going to be a one term governor.

I, of course, had to work. (Target) I wasn't scheduled until 7 am so I went in a little early and was able to get the Kodak 8MP camera for $89. People were grabbing them 4&5 at a time! A little later there was a fist fight back in our electronics section and they had to call the police. I'm not sure what that was all about since I was cashiering up front today.

At home where I always am but DH is home and has decided that this weekend is the weekend to tear the master bath apart and finally lay the tile that has been sitting in my kitchen for 4 months !!! Other than going out to take care of a pet-sitting client of my mom's I have stayed put.

No shopping for me! Our 4 year old let us sleep until 7am! Woohoo! I have never gone out for the early morning sales on Black Friday...there's never been anything I felt I needed that would cause me to endure the crowds!

I was one of those bums that had to work. That's ok though-there really wasn't much that I saw in the Black Friday ads for my gift-giving this year. Congrats to you all that got some great deals! My problem this year is that I don't even know what to buy for my kids-they keep going back and forth w/ their wishlists.....
