Lightbulb A tip while we're burning candles during the holidays!

I love candles, and am always afraid I'll forget about them and head up to bed, or out the door.

So now when I light a candle, I put a silver hair elastic on my wrist if I'm home for the night, and when I get changed for bed it's a quick reminder.
If it's during the day, I stick one of those clings for the windows on the glass of my front door. I use one that's a penguin, cause it's what I had, but it has stopped me from walking out on a burning candle, or panicking later trying to remember if I blew it out!

Hope this helps someone!

As the wife of a firefighter, I thank you for your post. Alot of housefires are started by unattended candles. I gave up on them myself as I am forgetful about them.

We had friends who had a fire from a candle so now I never burn a candle unless I am going to be in that room.

I love candles and burn them constantly, and whenever I light a candle I place a sign on the front door and one on my bedroom tv, so if I start to head out the door I see it, or if I'm getting ready for bed I see it.....It is a good idea to have some type of reminder.....
