Christmas Parades?

Do any of yall take your kids to Christmas parades? It is a tradition with us, and we enjoy them. Just wondering!

Depends, living on the coast and so use to the hot weather , if it's cold HECK NO there's not enough clothing to keep me warn with cold air blowing Nope not I.

If it's warm and sunny , I might, Depends on how the day is going with my 7 year old son, If it looks as if hes on the edge then No, If hes having a pretty good day then we'll try it and see.

BTW,I noticed you are in Bama. Where ?? I'm on the coast.

We've taken our kids to the Hollywood Christmas Parade and the Rose Parade (New Years Day), just as my parents did with me & my siblings. My kids are teenagers now and, although they have no interest in going anymore, they still reminisce about the times we went.

Yes, we go to at least one of our local ones each year... there are two that are within a 30 minute drive.

This year, I didn't feel like going (Saturday after Turkey Day) but my 13 year old son wanted to go so badly that I caved -- there aren't a lot of times that a teenaged boy begs to be seen with his family in public! It ended up being a really fun time; we enjoyed hot cocoa and popcorn that was being sold at the Baptist Church down the street.

Really a fun time and we do have some very fond memories of this year and past years! It really does put our family into the Christmas spirit.

We haven't been to any. We used to live in a big city and had no interest in fighting the crowds. We live in a smaller town now that does their own little Christmas parade and I hope we'll go tomorrow. We haven't been to one yet but I think the kids would enjoy it. My daughter's Girl Scout troop was going to be in it but decided not to because they have so many other things going on already.

Yep...headed to one in about an hour. My DD is in the color guard for her school band so she is in the parade. I've been sick, DS has been sick and now we are headed out to a night parade and it's suppose to be near freezing during the parade! My 5 year old can't wait to see Santa!!! ((Though we saw him at the mall and he didn't want to get anywhere near him!!)). I love parades......when I'm not sick!

Yeah, we love them! This year our tradition was a bit bent due to our daughter was IN the parade. With her hs band.. she did wonderful! I love parades.. it is also a Thanksgiving tradition to keep the Macy's on the tv the whole time it is on and everyone is cooking and eating.

Our town has a great hometown parade every year. My Brownie troop is going to participate again this year. The theme is Holidays Around the World. Our float will cover the holidays - Christmas, Hanukkah, St. Lucia Day and Kwanzaa. All the girls are real excited about it We had a great time last year so they were eager to be in the parade again this year. It's great fun!!

It's not Thanksgiving here unless the Macy's Parade is on. So I guess we are just carrying on the tradition of having a Christmas Parade! I can't wait till the baby is old enough to be excited about Santa!!!

We have our annual lighted Christmas Parade this coming weekend. It is a great time! Our small village has a horse drawn sleigh giving rides, Santa perches himself at his South Pole Shack, there are carolers going from business to business and it is just a great time for all. I always look forward to it!!
