I'm in Texas right now We are a military family, but DH and I are both from Ohio, He's from a town no one has usually ever heard of around Athens and I'm from a town about an hour away from Columbus. I sure miss Ohio, though I'm getting really used to the mild winters here in Texas. DH and I are Die Hard OSU football fans, so much so we named one of our DD's after their school colors.....

I live in Valley View which is a suburb of cleveland. Quiet little town where everyone knows everyone else. I think we now have 4 police cars!! HA
Is that town near Athens Cadiz or Adena by any chance?? We 4 wheel down there!! LOVE southern ohio.

You are on our alternative route.

We make a lot of trips east. and when we take #70, we go #250 to Cadiz and then down #9 to St Clairsville.
We have gone thru your town, but then we have to go on thru all that Pittsburg traffic.

We take 77 to 250. There is a McDOnalds in Cadiz that we stop at every Sunday on our way home. Ever hear of RUMBLE ON THE RIDGE? That is where we go. Didnt make it this past summer though because of no time.
Isnt there a coal miners museum there too??

Ive been to rumble on the ridge..... My sons ride dirtbikes and one races professionally. In my past life mud bogging was what we did every weekend!

Dh is from a small town called Radcliff, which is right next to another teeny town called Wilkesville. We were in between Jackson and Athens. When we lived down there, everything was far away! Great 4 wheeling country down there.....that was how DH spent his weekends while he finishing College.....

I lived in Wheeling ,WVA for a few years when my son was a baby.Lived in those apartments that are on top of that huge hill.Used to carry my son in one arm and 2 full bags of groceries in the another arm up and down those hills almost every day.
I really loved their hospitals and their allergy clinics. Really good doctors!
Also lived by that Catholic Charities for awhile.

Know of both places. I think those are in Vinton County. I grew up in Meigs county.

Yep....they are in Vinton County.

So if I mention Meigs Gold....do you know what I'm talking about? I had no clue what people were talking about for the longest time.

Irish, when I was in school Cadiz was known for their football team.

my bil is from meigs county.. in fact last week they brought a stray dog home from his parents house and named her meig.. in fact we ate at some place called biscuit world last time we went down there?? mmmmmmm stark county has none of those!

I think there is a Tudor Biscuit World in Gallipolis, Ohio but that is in Gallia county. One county over right before you get to Middleport and Pomeroy.

My brother worked in Stark county for a while manager for a Big Wheel if I remember right.
